Biennial Maharashtra Legislative Council Elections: 39% Turnout by 1 PM
Mumbai: Voting for the biennial election of the Maharashtra Legislative Council for Teachers and Graduate Constituencies is taking place today. The voting process began smoothly at 7 am, and by 1 pm, the average voter turnout was 39 percent.
In the Konkan Graduate Constituency, the total number of voters is 2,23,408, with 79,641 having cast their votes by 1 pm, resulting in a polling percentage of 35.65.
The Mumbai Graduate Constituency has a total electorate of 1,20,771, with 46,375 voters having participated by 1 pm, leading to a polling percentage of 38.39.
The Mumbai Teachers Constituency has a total electorate of 15,839, with 6,411 voters having cast their ballots by 1 pm, reflecting a polling percentage of 40.48.
In the Nashik Division Teacher Constituency, the total electorate is 69,368, with 30,156 voters participating by 1 pm, resulting in a polling percentage of 43.47, as reported by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer.
