Agriculture Minister Hears Villagers’ Issues During ‘Madhya Door’ Public Hearing in Sawai Madhopur, Gives Immediate Instructions for Solutions
Jaipur : Rajasthan’s Agriculture Minister Dr. Kirori Lal Meena visited the villages of Surwal, Ajnoti, and Lorwada in Sawai Madhopur district under the “Madhya Aapke Dwar” public hearing program. During the visit, he engaged with the villagers, listened to their concerns seriously, and instructed the concerned department officials to take necessary action on the spot.
The Agriculture Minister sought information from education department officials regarding encroachments on government school land and playgrounds and directed strict action to be taken against the encroachers. He inspected the under-construction road from Surwal to Mau and directed the Public Works Department to ensure quality construction and expedite the work. He also took note of the potholes on the Surwal-Bhagwatgarh road and instructed the Public Works Department officials to immediately start road repairs.
During the public hearing in the Ajnoti Panchayat, villagers brought up the issue of drinking water supply. In response, the Minister directed the Water Resources Department officials to resolve the issue promptly. He also addressed complaints regarding loose electric wires and electricity poles, instructing the concerned authorities to tighten the wires for safety and install poles as necessary. Additionally, in response to the complaint of Batti Lal, a villager whose buffalo died due to an electric shock, the Minister assured that the Electricity Department would provide ₹20,000 in compensation.
Information about Welfare Schemes
Block Social Security Officer Das provided the villagers with detailed information about the welfare schemes of the Social Welfare Department, such as the Chief Minister’s Kanyadan Scheme, widow pension, and other social security programs. Dr. Meena mentioned that the state government is continuously working for the quick resolution of public issues and that such public contact campaigns are strengthening communication between the people and the government. He emphasized that any negligence on public-interest issues would not be tolerated.
