Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin Inaugurates CFI’s Advanced Data Center in Siruseri, Creating 1,000 Jobs with ₹1,882 Crore Investment

Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu: Hon’ble Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin today inaugurated a state-of-the-art data center established by CFI Technologies at the SIPCOT-Siruseri IT Park in Chengalpattu district. Developed with an investment of ₹1,882 crore, the facility is expected to provide direct employment opportunities to 1,000 individuals.

This inauguration took place as part of a formal event held in Siruseri, where the Chief Minister emphasized Tamil Nadu’s leadership in attracting investments, fostering economic growth, and creating large-scale employment, especially for youth. As per the 2024–25 Economic Survey, Tamil Nadu has been recognized as India’s second-largest state economy and a front-runner in manufacturing and exports across multiple sectors. The state has achieved a growth rate of 9.69% for 2024–25, the highest in the past decade.

The government of Tamil Nadu has laid out strategic initiatives to create more employment opportunities and aims to achieve a $1 trillion economy by 2030. This includes promoting diversified investments and positioning Tamil Nadu as a hub for data centers. The Tamil Nadu Data Center Policy, launched on November 26, 2021, by CM Stalin in collaboration with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), is key to these developments, making Tamil Nadu a preferred destination for global investors in the data center sector.

About CFI Technologies:
CFI Technologies specializes in integrated infrastructure solutions, offering services in telecom, data networking, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and more. Their newly launched high-tech data center at SIPCOT Siruseri includes 40 MW power backup and other cutting-edge infrastructure. The company’s initial phase involves a ₹1,882 crore investment and direct employment for 1,000 people. It has further announced plans to invest ₹13,000 crore in Chennai by 2027.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this project was signed during the Global Investors Meet held in January 2024 in Chennai.
