Narali Week Plays a Vital Role in Shaping Society – CM Devendra Fadnavis

Chief Minister Attends the 93rd Narali Week Celebration of Saint Vamanbhau Maharaj at Ghatshil Pargaon

Beed : Beed district has a rich legacy of Narali Week, spirituality, and thoughtful traditions. The tradition of observing this week, initiated by Saint Vamanbhau Maharaj, has continued unbroken for the past 93 years. This tradition plays a crucial role in shaping society, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today. He added that while developing the Gahininath Gad (hill shrine), the government aims to make Beed a water-abundant district.

Chief Minister Fadnavis was present at the 93rd Narali Week celebration of Saint Vamanbhau Maharaj at Ghatshil Pargaon in Shirur Kasar taluka. Present on the dais were Environment Minister Pankaja Munde, Mathadhipati Vitthal Baba Maharaj, Waqf Board Chairman Sameer Qazi, MLAs Suresh Dhas, Namita Mundada, Monika Rajale, former MLAs Jaydatt Kshirsagar and Bhimrao Dhonde, Divisional Commissioner Dilip Gawade, Special IG Virendra Mishra, and Collector Avinash Pathak.

CM Fadnavis remarked that development works at Gahininath Gad are underway and more efforts will follow. The path of devotion shown by saints is still being followed by society. All sections of society actively participate in this tradition—including members of the Muslim community, which he appreciated. He also acknowledged his emotional connection with Beed district, thanks to the late Gopinathrao Munde. CM Fadnavis expressed great joy at being able to attend and receive blessings during this spiritual week.

He emphasized the need for proper facilities for all devotees visiting Gahininath Gad. Along with the development of the shrine, the surrounding area will also be upgraded. He affirmed the government’s commitment to make Marathwada and Beed permanently drought-free by bringing Krishna river water up to Ashti. He stated that it is their goal to supply this water throughout Beed. Additionally, a plan to bring 53 TMC of water to the Godavari basin has been approved, which will end drought in the region. “This generation has seen drought; the next one should not have to,” he stated.

Environment Minister Pankaja Munde said that saints like Vamanbhau and Bhagwan Baba started this spiritual tradition of Narali Week to instill spiritual devotion in the people. With the Chief Minister’s support, the development of Gahininath Gad and the overall progress of Beed will definitely make the district prosperous, she assured.

Mathadhipati Vitthal Maharaj provided insights into the unbroken 93-year-old Narali Week tradition started by Saint Vamanbhau. Devotees from Beed and Ahilyanagar districts were present in large numbers for the occasion.
