“New Education Policy Provides Both Employment and Values Along with Education” : Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai
Chief Minister shared his thoughts during the keynote address on the topic ‘The Erosion of Indian Values in the Rush of the New Era’
Raipur : In his keynote address at the event on ‘The Erosion of Indian Values in the Rush of the New Era,’ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai emphasized the importance of guiding society in a positive direction amidst the challenges of modern times. He pointed out that while foreign nations are embracing our culture, such as during the Kumbh Mela where a large number of people from Western countries bathed in the Ganges with reverence, we, on the other hand, are drifting away from our rich traditions in favor of Western culture due to show-off and extravagance.
Shri Sai highlighted that the new education policy introduced by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi integrates both employment and values with education. He mentioned that Chhattisgarh has adopted this policy, which focuses on reviving our glorious civilization through education, employment, and values.
The Chief Minister acknowledged the efforts of Shri Gulab Kothari for guiding society in a positive direction through his writings and social consciousness initiatives. He also emphasized the importance of women’s respect in Indian culture, quoting various Sanskrit verses that honor women as divine figures.
In his address, he reminded the audience that India has always been a world leader in terms of knowledge, citing the ancient Nalanda University where students from around the world studied. He also stressed the value of family and the crucial role of parents in shaping children’s values, highlighting the role of technology in modern family dynamics.
Shri Kothari spoke about the vital role of mothers in preserving India’s cultural heritage, stating that modern education has weakened the mother’s role in nurturing both the body and soul. He argued that intellectual development alone does not guarantee happiness and that cultural preservation is essential in today’s rapidly changing world.
Professor Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM, also addressed the gathering, stating that bridging the generational gap is crucial. He emphasized the need to guide the younger generation with empathy and clear goals to narrow the emotional distance caused by modern pressures.
The event was attended by many dignitaries, including MLA Shri Sunil Soni, Shri Purandar Mishra, Raipur Mayor Mrs. Meenal Choubey, Padma Shri Mrs. Phulbasan Yadav, and several prominent members of the Patrika group.
