Raipur : The recently declared results of JEE Mains 2025 have brought great pride to Prayas Residential Schools as their students delivered outstanding performances. Of the 371 students from these schools who appeared for the exam this year, 122 successfully qualified. This achievement has created a joyous atmosphere among the students’ families, their villages, and their communities. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam, Principal Secretary Shri Sonmoni Bora, and Commissioner Dr. Saransh Mittar extended their congratulations and best wishes to the students, wishing them bright futures.

At present, there are 15 Prayas Residential Schools operating in the state. Approval has also been granted to establish one new Prayas school each in Rajnandgaon and Balrampur in the 2025–26 academic year, increasing the total number to 17. So far, students from these schools have achieved remarkable success, with 122 selected for IITs and equivalent institutions, 356 for NITs and similar institutions, 960 in equivalent national-level exams, and 70 for MBBS programs.

Significantly, Prayas Residential Schools are a vital component of the Chief Minister’s “Child Future Security Scheme.” Their core mission is to provide quality education to talented students from Naxal-affected regions, enable them to succeed in competitive exams, gain admission to prestigious higher educational institutes, and achieve stability in life.

Officials from the Tribal Welfare Department stated that this year, Prayas Balak Residential School in Raipur recorded the best results. Of the 153 students who appeared for the JEE Advanced exam, 69 cleared the Mains—an impressive 45% success rate, particularly notable given the difficulty of the exam. Similarly, 16 out of 44 students from Prayas Ambikapur, 12 out of 46 from Prayas Durg, 8 out of 23 from Prayas Kanker, 9 out of 38 from Prayas Jashpur, and 1 out of 30 from Prayas Korba qualified in the Mains.

Additionally, 7 out of 37 students from Prayas Jagdalpur passed the exam. The success of students from remote, Naxal-affected areas in such a tough national-level exam is a significant achievement for the department and the state as a whole. Overall, 122 students are now expected to gain admission into IITs and IIT preparatory courses this year.
