No Room for Negligence Under Vishnu’s Good Governance in Chhattisgarh: Minister Rajwade

Surprise Inspections at Anganwadi Centres in Dhamtari and Kanker; Strict Orders Issued to Officials

Raipur : The Chhattisgarh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, is committed to ensuring that women and children receive the benefits of government schemes with complete transparency and quality. Reaffirming this commitment, Minister for Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, conducted surprise inspections of Anganwadi centres in Dhamtari and Kanker districts on Thursday. She firmly stated, “There will be zero tolerance for negligence under Vishnu’s good governance.”

During her visit to Anganwadi Centre No. 2 in Telinsatti village of Dhamtari district, Minister Rajwade reviewed the facilities being provided to the children. Sitting on the floor, she interacted playfully with the children, asked their names, and distributed chocolates. She enquired about their meals and instructed Anganwadi workers to provide breakfast and lunch on time. She also gave specific directions to ensure the quality of the supplementary nutrition, arrange clean drinking water and ORS given the heat, and keep the centres open from 7 AM to 11 AM. The minister emphasized the importance of imparting practical knowledge through play, focusing on education, and teaching hygiene. She stressed that the centres should be made safe, well-equipped, and child-friendly.

While inspecting the Anganwadi centre in Dargahan village of Kanker district, Minister Rajwade noted several shortcomings and issued stern warnings to the concerned officials and staff. She reiterated that any negligence in child care would not be tolerated.

Following the inspections, she held a review meeting where she assessed the implementation status of various schemes and provided necessary directions to the departmental officials. Present at the meeting were Shri Padum Singh Elma, Director of Women and Child Development, Smt. Roktima Yadav, Director of Social Welfare, project officers, Anganwadi workers, and assistants.

Minister Rajwade made it clear that the government’s goal is the effective implementation of welfare schemes for women and children—and any form of negligence in this mission will not be excused.
