Scheduled to be held from May 1 to 4, 2025, at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, the summit aims to showcase India’s creative brilliance, technological progress, and cultural diversity on a global platform.

The summit highlights the need for technologies like fingerprinting, watermarking, and AI-based tracking to combat these issues. Experts and researchers will collaborate to propose practical solutions through panel discussions and workshops.

A unique highlight of WAVES 2025 is the formulation of the “WAVES Declaration 2025”, which will be co-created by global media leaders, producers, directors, and policymakers. This declaration will act as a guiding framework for international cooperation, content regulation, and ethical standards in the media and entertainment industry—offering India a seat at the table in shaping global media policies.

India’s media and entertainment industry is currently valued at around ₹2.3 lakh crore, and it’s expected to reach ₹4.3 lakh crore in the coming years. Initiatives like WAVES 2025 are expected to fuel job creation, startup development, and foreign investment, particularly in emerging sectors such as animation, VFX, game design, scriptwriting, and digital marketing—unlocking immense opportunities for the youth.
