State Government Policies are Simple and Favorable for Agro-Based Industries: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated at the ‘Agro-Industry Conclave 2025’ held in Sitamau, Mandsaur district, during an interaction program with food processing entrepreneurs, that “Prosperous farmers and advanced agriculture are the hallmarks of Madhya Pradesh.” He emphasised that food processing not only provides opportunities for industrial growth but also leads to the economic upliftment of farmers. Under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is committed to the same.
Dr. Yadav said that the state government and its simple and investor-friendly policies are promoting agro-based industries. On this occasion, he inaugurated and performed the bhoomi-pujan (foundation stone-laying) for 11 industrial units worth Rs. 3,812 crore, which are expected to create 6,850 employment opportunities at the local level. He held discussions with investors regarding the opportunities in agri-industrial ventures. He also handed over LOI (Letters of Intent) to investors planning to establish new industries in Neemuch and Mandsaur districts.
The Chief Minister assured that the state government’s doors are always open for investors, and all barriers are being removed systematically. “We are committed to the progress of our state and stand firmly with investors, offering all necessary support,” he said.
Dr. Yadav highlighted that investment proposals worth Rs. 30 lakh crore in the were received during the Bhopal Global Investors Summit. Madhya Pradesh offers reliable infrastructure, including electricity, water, roads, and strong industrial promotion policies. He proudly stated that the state has surpassed even the United States in wheat yield per bigha.
Speaking on the double-engine government under PM Modi’s leadership, CM Dr. Yadav said all efforts are being made to boost employment opportunities. Previously, such summits were limited to big cities. Now, we’ve decided to organise investor summits at both divisional and district levels, starting with Mandsaur,” he added. The government is committed to providing equal opportunities to all types of investors across the state.
Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain noted that making Madhya Pradesh employment-oriented is the top priority for CM Dr. Yadav. He emphasised the need to promote industries to achieve this goal. Madhya Pradesh has the highest growth rate among major Indian states, and agriculture contributes 44% to the state’s GDP. The expansion of irrigation has significantly boosted agricultural output. Jain also highlighted the immense potential for food processing industries in the spice-rich regions of Mandsaur and Neemuch.
Additional Chief Secretary for Horticulture and Food Processing, Shri Anupam Rajan, stated that the Agro-Industry Conclave series began in Sitamau, Mandsaur. The event showcased cutting-edge technologies in agriculture, and in line with the CM’s vision, such conclaves will be held at divisional and district levels. He affirmed that the state’s policies are highly favourable for investors and industrialists, and the government is committed to taking the food processing sector to new heights.
MPIDC Managing Director Shri Chandramouli Shukla briefed the attendees on various policies under the investment promotion framework. Industrialist Shri Ajay Bhatnagar shared his experiences. The Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Deora, Agriculture Minister Shri Eidal Singh Kansana, Horticulture Minister Shri Narayan Singh Kushwah, District-in-Charge Minister Smt. Nirmala Bhuria, several public representatives, and a large gathering of industrialists and investors also attended the event.
