Mutation Process Completed : Loknath Gains Legal Rights Over Ancestral Land
Raipur : Under the ongoing ‘Su-Shasan Tihar’ (Good Governance Festival), the Mahasamund district administration is delivering prompt, transparent, and accountable services to citizens. This campaign not only aims to extend the government’s outreach to the general public but also provides swift solutions to long-pending civic issues. As part of this initiative, Shri Loknath, a resident of Devarapal village in the Basna block, has been granted official ownership rights over his ancestral land following the successful completion of the mutation (fauti) process.
In the first phase of the Su-Shasan Tihar, Shri Loknath, son of the late Krishnaprasad, had applied for the mutation of land previously registered in the name of his father, Shri Krishnachandra. After his father’s passing, the Revenue and Disaster Management Department carried out the transfer of land ownership to Loknath’s name under the Land Rights Scheme through a lawful process. The Tehsildar of Basna personally visited the site to complete the mutation procedure, which involved verification of the land’s actual status, possession, and boundaries. After conducting proper demarcation, the mutation process was finalized, and Shri Loknath was formally handed the relevant Khasra (land parcel) and B-1 records.
Receiving official ownership of his ancestral property was an emotional moment for Shri Loknath. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the government, saying it was a moment he had waited for over many years. The certificate validating his rightful claim brought tears to his eyes. He added that this initiative is a beacon of hope not only for him but for countless others like him who have long awaited justice and recognition of their rightful land.
