First-Time Hajj Pilgrims to Receive Rs. 25,000 Each, Announced by Tamil Nadu CM M. K. Stalin

Yesterday at the Secretariat, Honorable Chief Minister Mr. M. K. Stalin, through the Tamil Nadu State Hajj Committee, announced that for the first time, a grant of Rs. 25,000 will be provided to 5,650 beneficiaries to support their Hajj journey. Additionally, 10 beneficiaries will receive Hajj travel assistance for the first time.
For the year 2024-25, under the direction of the Honorable Chief Minister, the grant for Hajj pilgrimage will be increased to Rs. 25,000 from the previous amount. This was announced as part of the Hajj pilgrimage program.
In this year’s budget, Rs. 14 crore and 12 lakhs have been allocated for the scheme, and Rs. 25,000 will be provided to each eligible pilgrim. As per the instructions, the Chief Minister provided a grant of Rs. 25,000 each to 10 beneficiaries for their Hajj pilgrimage.
At the event, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, Honorable Minister for Minorities Welfare and Non-Resident Tamils Mr. S. M. Nasar, Secretary of the Secretariat Mr. N. Muruganandham, and other officials from the Tamil Nadu State Hajj Committee, along with senior officials, were present.
