Speaker’s Public Outreach Initiative at Rajasthan Assembly Receives Praise
Disha Sansthan Members Tour Assembly; Students and Teachers Engaged by the Political Narrative Museum
May : The Public Outreach (Jan Darshan) initiative launched by Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Mr. Vasudev Devnani is receiving widespread appreciation. Students, officials, and staff from schools and institutions across the state are benefiting from this initiative. Visitors continue to flock to the Rajasthan Assembly, especially drawn to its newly refurbished pink-themed interior inspired by the Pink City, and the Political Narrative Museum housed within the Assembly complex.
Thanks to Mr. Devnani’s efforts to include the Digital Museum in Rajasthan’s tourism map, the number of visitors is steadily increasing. On Wednesday, members of Disha Sansthan, Children’s Academy, and two other schools, including students and teachers, visited the Rajasthan Assembly. Bharati Khutenta, Director of Disha Sansthan, expressed gratitude to Speaker Devnani for providing them with the opportunity to explore the Assembly and the digital museum under the Jan Darshan program.
Speaker Devnani highlighted that the Political Narrative Museum showcases the glorious history of Rajasthan, its role in India’s freedom struggle, and the steps that led to the formation of the modern state. It honors the great political leaders whose contributions have left a lasting impact on Rajasthan. The museum brings to life — through cutting-edge technology and multimedia — the merger of princely states, the evolution of the Assembly, the achievements of all Chief Ministers and Speakers, and the shaping of the state’s identity.
Additionally, the museum presents educational insights into the electoral system, the functioning of the cabinet, and the budgetary process. Through the Jan Darshan program, the Assembly is taking a significant step in connecting the public with the rich political heritage and functioning of the democratic process.
