Officers happy to get transferred to desired locations with ease!

Pune : “I am very happy to witness this historic moment once again. I am a witness to history being made. To boost the morale of officers and implement a corruption-free policy, I decided to carry out transfers of officers in the Animal Husbandry Department through counseling. This decision will remain in place in the future as well. The happiness on the faces of common people working hard at the village level is important to me. Your transfers have been done as per your wish, now work well and with a fresh mindset,” said State Minister for Environment, Climate Change, and Animal Husbandry Pankaja Munde while interacting with the officers today.

To ensure balanced manpower across all regions of the state and to carry out the transfer process transparently, Animal Husbandry Minister Pankaja Munde had recently taken the historic decision to conduct transfers through counseling for officers of the Livestock Development Officer and Assistant Commissioner cadre in the Animal Husbandry Department. The transfer process began today at the office of the Commissioner of Animal Husbandry in the presence of Smt. Pankaja Munde, during which she addressed the gathering. Secretary of the Animal Husbandry Department N. Ramaswamy, Commissioner Praveen Kumar Devre, and Additional Commissioner Dr. Sheetal Mukane were also present.

Minister Munde said, “When I was the Minister for Rural Development, I had made the decision for online transfers of teachers, which benefited many teachers who were unable to reach their desired postings. I enjoy thinking out of the box, which is why I made this decision for the Animal Husbandry Department as well. Once a decision is made, it does not change—hence, this decision will remain in the future too. My father, the people’s leader Munde Saheb, always used to say that he entered politics to become the voice of those who had no status or wealth. I am working by carrying forward the same legacy. Many people love me—you work for them, and that’s why this decision was made. The joy on the faces of common people is important to me. Officers who were working for years away from their families in remote tribal areas will now get their desired postings. The happiness seen on your faces from getting transfers to preferred places is satisfying,” said Minister Munde.

Excellent Opportunity to Serve Animals as Public Servants – Secretary Dr. N. Ramaswamy
Veterinarians entering government service after veterinary education have a great opportunity to serve animals as public servants. It is the collective responsibility of all of us to uphold the honor of the Animal Husbandry Department and elevate its reputation. For that, ensuring the availability of veterinary services at the regional level is essential. All should contribute with dedication to enhance the department’s prestige, urged Secretary Dr. N. Ramaswamy.

Publication of ‘Mahapashudhan Varta’
To spread awareness regarding veterinary services, policy decisions, and implementation of schemes, the Animal Husbandry Department has decided to launch a digital e-magazine under the title ‘Mahapashudhan Varta’. The first issue of Mahapashudhan Varta was released on this occasion.

The department has launched this e-magazine with the aim that livestock farmers should easily get information about animal husbandry practices and that their income should increase through modern business management methods. To ensure that each livestock farmer can access the magazine with one click, the department has created a ‘QR Code’ for the magazine’s issue. This QR code was unveiled by the dignitaries present.

Got the Desired Posting – Officers Happy!
The transfer process through counseling started today and will continue tomorrow, i.e., May 16. Today, 118 officers from tribal and Naxal-affected difficult areas and 444 officers from non-difficult areas were transferred as per their preferences. Because of the decision taken by Minister Munde, officers have received their desired postings easily, creating an atmosphere of joy among them.

A Very Good Decision – Dr. Akash Thakre
“I am from Yavatmal district. My first posting was in 2022 at Trimbakeshwar. I served in a tribal area for three years. Now, through counseling, I got my home district. I’m very happy. The decision made by Minister Munde boosts the morale of officers like me.”

Dr. Priyanka Swamidas
“I was working in Sironcha taluka. Since this area is near the Telangana border, Telugu is spoken more than Marathi. I know the Telugu language. I could communicate well with the villagers. People asked, ‘What will happen to us if you’re transferred?’ Now, through counseling, I stayed here. I’m happy I got my preferred place. Truly, this decision is historic. Many thanks to Minister Munde!”
