“I Am the Son of Your Village; Leading the State on the Path of Development Is My Resolve” – CM Vishnu Deo Sai

CM Visits Hometown Village Dokra in Jashpur District for Samadhan Shivir

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai addressed the villagers of Dokra in Jashpur during the third phase of the “Sushasan Tihar,” a state-wide campaign to assess and implement governance schemes effectively. He expressed a heartfelt connection with the people, stating, “I am the son of your village and home. With your blessings, I have become the Chief Minister, and it is my resolve to take Chhattisgarh forward on the path of development.”

At the Samadhan Shivir, he interacted with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and other welfare schemes, ensuring transparency and feedback-based governance. He announced several development projects in Dokra, including the establishment of a college, upgradation of the primary health centre, renovation of the ancient Shiva temple complex, beautification of Doriyamuda pond, restoration of the old community hall with ₹20 lakh funding, and construction of a mini-stadium for local youth.

The Chief Minister highlighted that within the first cabinet meeting of his government, approval was granted for 18 lakh housing units under PMAY. Over the past one and a half years, the state has seen rapid housing construction, with mass house allocations conducted by PM Modi and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. CM Sai reassured that everyone listed under SECC and Awas Plus surveys would get homes, with significant budget allocations made for this purpose.

Fulfilling Promises and Reaching Every Corner

CM Sai noted that the government has delivered on promises made to farmers—buying paddy at ₹3100 per quintal, covering 21 quintals per acre, and releasing two years of pending bonuses. Financial aid to landless agricultural laborers and the Mahatari Vandan Scheme providing ₹1000 monthly to women for empowerment were also mentioned.

The wage for tendu leaf collectors has been increased from ₹4000 to ₹5500 per standard bag. Under the “Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana,” pilgrims are being sent to Ayodhya, and the “Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana” now offers free pilgrimages to senior citizens over 60 years old across the country.

He shared that the land registration and mutation processes have been simplified, and now happen simultaneously. He added that banking services are being expanded through Atal Digital Seva Kendras, launched in 1,460 gram panchayats on April 24, so that villagers need not travel far.

Monitoring and Accountability

The CM emphasized that he is visiting districts, including remote corners of the state, to inspect the ground-level implementation of schemes and address public grievances directly—even holding meetings under trees. He noted improvements in most areas, and where issues were identified, instructions were given to rectify them.

Dokra was praised as his home, and the CM shared that the long-standing demand for a bridge over the Maini River has been fulfilled. He also promised to act on all new requests received during the visit.

Distributing Benefits and Honoring Students

During the camp, the CM handed over house keys to PMAY beneficiaries and distributed various scheme-related items: ration cards, pension letters, fishing gear, agricultural kits, Ayushman cards, job cards under MGNREGA, loans under NRLM, and cricket kits for youth.

In a heartwarming gesture, he honored district toppers from the 10th and 12th board exams, including Neha Ekka, who ranked 5th in the state in Class 12, and Naman Khutia, Class 10 topper, encouraging them to keep striving for excellence.

This was CM Sai’s 21st district visit under the campaign. Alongside him were MLA Gomati Sai, Principal Secretary Subodh Singh, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Commissioner Narendra Dugga, IG Deepak Jha, Collector Rohit Vyas, and several dignitaries, officials, and enthusiastic villagers.
