Narmadapuram’s Land is Fertile and Prosperous – No Effort Will Be Spared in the District’s Development: CM Dr. Mohan Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Narmadapuram district is blessed with fertile and prosperous land, and the government is committed to setting up agro-based industries here. Every possible effort will be made to ensure the district’s holistic development. A regional industry conclave has been organized to promote investment, and in the near future, Narmadapuram will emerge as an industrially advanced district.

On Thursday, the Chief Minister inaugurated 31 development works worth ₹97.07 crore and performed the foundation-laying ceremony (Bhoomi Pujan) for 48 new works worth ₹102.94 crore in Seoni Malwa. He also announced the construction of a sports stadium in the town.

Dr. Yadav highlighted Narmadapuram’s historical and religious significance and reaffirmed that agriculture is the identity of India. He credited Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for launching schemes benefitting farmers, youth, women, and workers. The Madhya Pradesh government, he said, remains dedicated to the welfare of the underprivileged.

Appreciating the valor of the Indian Army, the CM mentioned “Operation Sindoor,” during which Indian forces decisively defeated the enemy. He emphasized India’s cultural ethos of “live and let live,” stating that the entire world is considered family in Indian tradition.

Dr. Yadav said that being located in the heart of India, Madhya Pradesh bears greater responsibility. This year, the state procured wheat at ₹2,600 per quintal from farmers. He also announced that the government will provide a 90% subsidy on solar pumps worth ₹5 lakh, which will offer farmers free electricity and, in the future, allow the government to buy electricity from them.

He announced a Farmers’ Industry Confluence Fair to be held on May 26 in Narsinghpur district, where state-of-the-art agricultural equipment will be showcased. Similar fairs will be organized in Rewa, Satna, and Chambal regions.

The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s resolve to bring irrigation to every farm. While earlier only 7 lakh hectares in the state were irrigated, today that number has increased to 55 lakh hectares. The aim is to make water available for irrigation across 100 lakh hectares in the future.

Dr. Yadav affirmed that the state government is fully committed to promoting sports. Narmadapuram’s hockey player Vivek Sagar was awarded ₹1 crore for representing India in the Olympics.

Focusing on youth, the CM announced that 1 lakh government jobs will be filled this year, and 2.5 lakh posts will be filled over the next five years. He proudly shared that this year’s 10th and 12th board exam results were the best in 15 years, with students from government schools making it to the merit list.

To enhance farmers’ income, Dr. Yadav announced a new Gopalak Scheme under which farmers buying 200 Gir cows will receive up to 25% subsidy, and the government will purchase milk from them. He also announced that state transport buses will soon start reaching villages.

He added that individuals who help road accident victims reach hospitals will be awarded ₹25,000. For poor patients holding Ayushman Cards, an air ambulance service has been launched to ensure timely hospital access.

Dr. Yadav said that Chitrakoot will be developed into a grand pilgrimage site like Ayodhya, and religious circuits will be developed along the paths touched by Lord Shri Ram.The CM distributed certificates and equipment to beneficiaries of various welfare schemes during the event.

Seoni Malwa MLA Shri Prem Shankar Verma requested the CM to provide irrigation facilities to 40 villages near Anwali Ghat, beautify Bhilat Dev and Anwali Ghat, establish a college in Shivpur, and start Science and Commerce streams at Dolariya College, along with setting up industries in Seoni Malwa.

The program was attended by PWD Minister and Narmadapuram District In-charge Shri Rakesh Singh, former Assembly Speaker Dr. Sitasharan Sharma, MP Darshan Singh Choudhary, Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Maya Narolia, MLAs Vijaypal Singh, Thakurdas Nagvanshi, former Union Minister Shri Suresh Pachouri and a large number of citizens and women were also present.
