Chhattisgarh to Become a Key Transformer Supplier for the Nation
Raipur : Chhattisgarh is poised to take another major leap toward realizing the dream of a developed India. Renowned company Karmveer Electronics Limited has proposed the establishment of a state-of-the-art transformer manufacturing unit in Raipur. With an investment of over ₹300 crore, this facility will place Chhattisgarh among the top transformer manufacturing hubs in India.
The proposal was presented to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai during a meeting at Chhattisgarh Bhawan in New Delhi. Mr. Vivek Jain, Managing Director of the company, outlined the project’s blueprint, potential investment, and employment opportunities. He stated that the upcoming unit would be the most technically advanced transformer facility in the country and would play a key role in addressing future energy sector needs.
Welcoming the investment, CM Vishnudev Sai said, “Our goal is for Chhattisgarh to become a strong pillar in building a developed India by 2047. This investment is not just about setting up an industrial unit but marks a significant stride towards enhancing the state’s technological capabilities and self-reliance. The state government will extend all possible support to this project.”
The project is expected to modernize the power sector in the state, generate employment for local youth, and boost industrial development. Notably, it strengthens the spirit of the “Make in Chhattisgarh” initiative. Transformers manufactured with cutting-edge technology in Raipur will soon power homes and industries across the country.
Also present during the meeting were Subodh Singh, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Ritu Sen, Chhattisgarh’s Investment Commissioner in New Delhi.
