Rajiv Krishna Appointed as New DGP of Uttar Pradesh

Senior IPS officer Rajiv Krishna, from the 1991 batch, has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh. A native of Gautam Buddha Nagar district, Rajiv Krishna brings with him decades of experience in law enforcement and public service.

He hails from a family deeply rooted in civil service and politics. His wife, Meenakshi Singh, currently serves as the Income Tax Commissioner in Lucknow. His brother-in-law, Rajeshwar Singh, is a BJP MLA from Sarojininagar and a former Enforcement Directorate officer. Rajeshwar’s wife, Lakshmi Singh, is the Police Commissioner of Noida.
