Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade Inspects Children’s Home

On World Environment Day, She Plants a Tree with Special Children, Stresses the Need for Sensitive Care

Raipur : Women and Child Development Minister, Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, paid a surprise visit to the Children’s Home located at Mana Camp in the capital city, Raipur, on the occasion of World Environment Day. During the inspection, she thoroughly reviewed the condition of the children, care arrangements, nutrition, medical facilities, educational activities, and safety measures.

Minister Rajwade engaged warmly with the children, listened to their concerns, and directed the officials to address their needs promptly. She emphasized that children with special mental needs require continuous and compassionate care. It is essential to ensure a safe, dignified, and loving environment in such homes for their holistic development.

Marking the occasion of World Environment Day, Smt. Rajwade planted mango and guava saplings along with the children and dedicated the act to her mother. She stated, “Every sapling we plant is more than just greenery—it symbolizes our responsibility and connection to our roots. Just as a mother nurtures her children, trees are a life-giving creation born from the womb of nature.”

She instructed the superintendent and all staff members of the children’s home to be more active and sensitive in their service. She also assured that the state government will continue to upgrade facilities for children with special mental needs.
