CM Holds Review Meeting of Public Works Department – Emphasizes Quality and Timely Completion of Road Projects – Strict Action Against Negligence
Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma stated that the development of infrastructure is key to accelerating the overall progress of the state. He emphasized that the government’s priority is to develop a network of high-quality roads that cater to future needs and ensure smooth and easy transportation for the public.
On Friday, the Chief Minister conducted a review meeting at his office focusing on pending projects under the Public Works Department (PWD) that cost more than ₹10 crore. He directed officials to expedite the strengthening and widening of roads and warned that strictest action would be taken against those found negligent in the execution of such works.
Road Upgradation and Repairs to be Completed Before Monsoon
CM Sharma underlined that the state government aims to connect every village and town with reliable road infrastructure to ease public travel. He instructed that road upgradation and repair work must be completed before the onset of the monsoon. He also directed officials to enhance the monitoring mechanisms within the department to ensure the highest construction quality. Additionally, he emphasized the need for effective coordination with the Forest Department and other relevant departments to complete necessary procedural clearances.
Rajasthan to Become Free of Railway Crossings
Reviewing the ongoing construction of Road Over Bridges (ROBs) and Road Under Bridges (RUBs), CM Sharma said that the state aims to become entirely free of railway crossings. He instructed officials to accelerate the pace of ROB and RUB construction projects currently underway across the state.
The meeting also featured a presentation by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Public Works Department, who provided a detailed overview of departmental projects. Senior officials and concerned department representatives were present at the review session.
