State Government Dedicated to Upliftment of the Poor, Farmers, Youth, and Women: CM Bhajanlal Sharma

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight to be Held Across Rajasthan from June 24 to July 9

Jaipur : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Rajasthan government is fully committed to the upliftment of the four key communities — youth, women, farmers, and the poor. As part of this mission, the state will launch the “Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight” from June 24 to July 9, to ensure that welfare schemes reach every eligible citizen through a series of focused activities.

Addressing a preparatory meeting at the CM residence on Sunday, CM Sharma reiterated his government’s vision of a “Poverty-Free Rajasthan.” He highlighted the launch of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Poverty-Free Village Scheme, aiming in its first phase to lift all BPL (Below Poverty Line) families in 5,000 villages above the poverty line. He instructed district collectors to begin surveys in additional villages during the fortnight to maximize beneficiary coverage.

Over 1 Lakh Water Conservation Activities under “Vande Ganga” Campaign

The Chief Minister noted the success of the “Vande Ganga” Water Conservation Public Campaign, launched on June 5, with over 100,000 activities already carried out across Rajasthan, transforming it into a mass movement through public participation. The campaign, running until June 20, focuses on the protection and cleaning of water bodies such as rivers, streams, ponds, stepwells, wells, and dams.

Daily Camps at Gram Panchayat Level

During the Antyodaya fortnight, camps will be held daily at the Gram Panchayat level. District collectors are directed to appoint nodal officers to ensure smooth execution. CM Sharma also instructed that Gram Sabhas be convened on June 20 to inform villagers about the initiative in detail.

Resolution of Pending Welfare Cases and Distribution of Entitlements

Sharma emphasized that the fortnight will ensure targeted families benefit from welfare schemes. Key initiatives include:

  • Resolution of pending cases under the National Food Security Act (NFSA)
  • Distribution of ownership documents
  • Collection of soil samples and issuance of soil health cards
  • Aadhaar seeding of new eligible families and members
    Additionally, long-pending issues such as land boundary disputes and stone boundary markings will also be addressed.

Removal of Encroachments and Infrastructure Checks

The CM ordered removal of encroachments from roads and water structures, and resolving pending revenue cases through mutual agreement. Specific instructions were given to:

  • Forest Department: Distribute saplings from nurseries
  • Agriculture Department: Distribute seeds before the monsoon
  • Public Health Engineering Department: Verify summer contingency measures
    He also instructed inspections and repairs of dug-up roads, pipelines, and water tanks.

Monsoon Preparedness and Health Measures

The Chief Minister urged all departments to stay in action mode ahead of the monsoon. He directed:

  • Timely cleaning and verification of drains
  • Identification and resolution of waterlogging areas
  • Stocking of medicines at health centers for seasonal illnesses
    He emphasized that the district administrations must stay alert for monsoon-related disasters.

Officials informed the CM that additional activities during the fortnight will include:

  • Issuance of pending water connections
  • Veterinary camps for animal health checkups and vaccinations
  • Cleanliness drives and admission festivals in schools
  • Distribution of scooters to eligible students by the Higher Education Department
  • Tree plantation drives under the “Green Rajasthan” initiative by the Forest Department

International Yoga Day: Rajasthan to Celebrate with Enthusiasm

CM Sharma announced that Rajasthan will celebrate International Yoga Day (June 21) with great fervor. He praised PM Modi’s efforts in giving yoga global recognition and encouraged every citizen to practice yoga for a healthier Rajasthan.

The goal this year is for 1.25 crore people across the state to participate in yoga. The CM directed that this year’s Yoga Day be connected to Rajasthan’s heritage and culture, with special yoga sessions held at major tourist sites in each division and district, as well as at block offices, village panchayats, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, and public/private institutions. All departments are instructed to actively promote the event and raise public awareness.

Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant and senior officials were present at the meeting. Divisional Commissioners and District Collectors joined via video conferencing.
