Work together for social development: CM Dr. Yadav

In the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, on Tuesday at the Secretariat, the Madhya Pradesh State Policy Commission and four reputed non-governmental organizations—Antra Foundation, Pradan, PHIA Foundation, and UN Women—signed and exchanged Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). These MoUs will strengthen the planned, inclusive, gross, and sustainable development of the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the social landscape of the state is changing. By taking advantage of government schemes, everyone is moving rapidly towards positive change in their lives. To achieve continuous improvement in all social development indicators and to ensure everyone benefits from development, the government will also utilize the experience of NGOs. He said that the MP State Policy Commission will work in collaboration with NGOs that have subject expertise for improving and increasing all human and social development indicators through the wide dissemination of all public welfare schemes operating in the state. He also said that serious efforts will be made to implement the suggestions received from field-working NGOs. The Policy Commission, public representatives, and district administration should work in mutual coordination and harmony for the benefit of the public.

It is noteworthy that the MP State Policy Commission is playing a leading role in monitoring the state’s Sustainable Development Goals and preparing the Madhya Pradesh Vision Document-2047. Through these partnerships, policy innovation, data-driven good governance, and multi-sectoral development will be implemented with greater strength and breadth in the state.

Among the four NGOs with which the Policy Commission signed MoUs, Antra Foundation will assist the government in maternal and child health and nutrition improvement work. Pradan organization will support strengthening rural development and women’s empowerment. PHIA Foundation will participate as the government’s knowledge partner in promoting climate-resilient development and inclusive and sustainable development schemes. Similarly, UN Women will assist the government in advancing gender-responsive governance in the state.

Under the MoUs signed today, these partnerships will accelerate the achievement of global goals such as poverty eradication and livelihood development, health and welfare, gender equality, access to clean water for all, reducing inequality, water security including watershed structures, and climate development-based actions. These agreements are a solid step towards the commitment to a prosperous Madhya Pradesh and the implementation of Vision 2047, which will promote innovation and participation in governance, policy, and the smooth and simple delivery of citizen services.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Jagdish Devda, Additional Chief Secretary Planning, Economic and Statistics Mr. Sanjay Kumar Shukla, CEO of MP State Policy Commission Mr. Rishi Garg, along with officials and representatives from the NGOs—Ms. Chandrika from Antra Foundation, Ms. Archana Singh from Pradan, Mr. Aniruddha from PHIA Foundation, and Ms. Joytry from UN Women—were present.
