31 online services provided by urban local bodies will be made more effective: Vipul Goel

Chandigarh : Haryana’s Urban Local Bodies, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Sh. Vipul Goel said 31 services which have been made online by the urban local bodies for the convenience of people will be made more effective.

He directed the department officials to ensure that all the online services of the department are accessible to every person and there is no error in their management.

The minister was chairing a meeting held on Wednesday regarding the IT activities of the Urban Local Bodies Department at the Haryana Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh.

He said all the services provided by the Local Bodies Department should be continuously monitored. He emphasized that the department should ensure quick and effective solution to the problems registered by the common people, so that the facilities can be made available to everyone easily. Calling to work on all the instructions in a timely manner, Sh. Vipul Goel said he himself will review the points put forward in the meeting and the entire process after a month.

During this, he instructed the officials that people should not face any problem in getting property ID made and its portal should be made even more effective. The Local Bodies Minister, while instructing the officials, said they should themselves monitor the issues related to property ID and also hold weekly review meetings. Along with this, he said people who pay property tax should be encouraged and people who do not pay tax should also be made aware to pay it.

Sh. Vipul Goel said the social media platform of urban local bodies should be made more active and strong and people should be constantly made aware about cleanliness through social media. He said the use of social media by the government and the administration to reach to the general public and establish a personal dialogue with them is an effective model shown by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi and we should follow it. He further said the main objective of the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini is to provide maximum facilities to the people easily, for which the officers and employees of the urban local bodies will also have to work in a timely manner. He also stressed on continuous monitoring of the works and also directed to take action as per rules against those who are negligent.

Haryana Government working non-stop

The Haryana Government is moving towards doing new work every day following the policy of non-stop work, top result and under this policy, the Cabinet Minister directed the officials to take several steps for the convenience of the people of Haryana. On this occasion, the Director of the Department, Sh. Pankaj was also present.
