Orange Alert Issued for Mumbai, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Pune and Satara Ghat Areas; Mumbai Records 142.6 mm Rainfall
Mumbai : According to the forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), an orange alert has been issued for the next 24 hours for Mumbai, Raigad, Ratnagiri districts, and the ghat areas of Pune and Satara, as per information shared by the State Emergency Operations Centre.
In the past 24 hours (till the morning of June 19), Mumbai city district recorded the highest rainfall at 142.6 mm, followed by Raigad with 134.1 mm, Palghar with 120.9 mm, Thane with 90.3 mm, and Mumbai suburban district with 60.5 mm.

In the Mumbai suburban district, one person was injured after a tree fell. In Solapur district, the collapse of an electric swing resulted in the death of one person and injuries to two others.
In Raigad district, Amba and Kundalika rivers crossed the danger level, and Patalganga river crossed the warning level. In Ratnagiri district, Jagbudi river also crossed the warning level.
As a precautionary measure, all schools and colleges in Raigad district have been declared closed today.
In Narur village of Kudal, Sindhudurg, a road on the Hateri river was washed away. However, local movement continues via a nearby iron bridge.
At Kuchambe village in Sangameshwar taluka, a landslide occurred due to heavy rain, and citizens were safely relocated by the local administration under the direction of the Sangameshwar Tehsildar, according to the State Emergency Operations Centre.
