TN DCM Udhayanidhi Stalin Inaugurates and Lays Foundation Stones for Development Projects Worth ₹17.81 Crores in Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni Constituency
Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin, today (23.06.2025), inaugurated completed development projects worth ₹8.13 crores and laid foundation stones for new projects valued at ₹9.68 crores in various parts of the Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni Assembly Constituency.
On behalf of the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB), the Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated a newly constructed underground sewage pumping station with a capacity of 6.25 MLD and H2S gas control system at a cost of ₹3.01 crores. This facility will benefit around 50,000 residents across 113 streets from the C.I.T. Colony area of Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni constituency.

He also laid the foundation stone for a new urban primary health centre building to be built at the Dr. Besant Dispensary site in Zone 9, Ward 116. The project, costing ₹9.68 crores, will include 50 beds and modern medical facilities.
Further, under the Singara Chennai 2.0 Scheme, he inaugurated a new school building at the Chennai Middle School in Bangaru Street, Ward 114. Built at a cost of ₹2.47 crores, the school includes seven classrooms, three laboratories, a library, and toilet facilities.
In Royapuram Zone, Ward 63, at the Chennai Corporation School on Nagappan Street near Sakaralishwaranpet, he inaugurated another new school building under the Singara Chennai 2.0 Scheme. Constructed at a cost of ₹1.35 crores, it consists of six classrooms, an office room, and essential amenities.
Later, in Lock Nagar, Ward 114 of Zone 9, he inaugurated a newly constructed community hall with a kitchen, built at a cost of ₹1.30 crores under the MLA Constituency Development Fund. The Deputy Chief Minister also interacted with local residents at the event.
