“One Thought Can Change Your Life” – Revenue Minister Tankram Verma Meritorious Students Honoured at District-Level School Enrollment Festival

Raipur : Revenue Minister Shri Tankram Verma today participated in the district-level Shala Praveshotsav (School Enrollment Festival) held at PM Shri Higher Secondary School, Bathena, in Dhamtari district. Organized by the School Education Department and Samagra Shiksha, the event celebrated the spirit of learning and welcomed new students.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister emphasized that “One thought can change your life.” He praised the New Education Policy launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a revolutionary step in transforming India’s educational landscape. The policy, he said, empowers students to shape their future by allowing them to pursue subjects based on their interests.

He noted that the purpose of the Praveshotsav is to instill enthusiasm in children starting school for the first time. To sustain this excitement throughout the academic year, he urged both teachers and students to remain dedicated and hardworking. “Education is the solution to all problems,” he affirmed, encouraging students to dream big and work relentlessly toward their goals.

As part of the event, Shri Verma distributed bicycles to 15 schoolgirls under the Saraswati Cycle Scheme. District students Saurabh Joshi and Sameer Sahu, who secured positions in the state merit list, were also felicitated.

Local MLA Smt. Ambika Markam and Municipal Corporation Mayor Shri Ramu Rohra also addressed the gathering. They urged students to honor their parents and dreams through hard work and to minimize mobile phone use. They encouraged all students to set clear goals and strive diligently to achieve them.

Present at the event were OBC Commission Chairman Shri Nehru Nishad, District Panchayat Vice President Shri Gaurkaran Sahu, Collector Shri Abhinash Mishra, Superintendent of Police Shri Suraj Singh Parihar, District Education Officer Shri Jagdalle, local representatives, teachers, and a large number of students.
