Farmers Prosperity is Our Goal–Solar Pumps Will Free Farmers from Power Worries: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the welfare of all sections of society, stating that the state is working in mission mode for the upliftment of the poor, youth, women, and farmers, following the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Addressing the Kisan and Employment Conference in Dandarua Sarkar Dham (Mehgaon Assembly, Bhind district), CM Yadav said, “Our farmers are the providers of food for all and are deeply revered. We are taking every necessary step to bring prosperity to their lives. With initiatives such as irrigation facilities, PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, crop insurance, and now solar pumps, we are making farmers self-reliant.”
He launched the State-Level Solar Pump Portal under the Pradhan Mantri Krishak Mitra Surya Yojana by pressing a remote button, enabling farmers to apply for heavily subsidized solar
pumps, which will provide irrigation through solar-powered electricity, freeing them from electricity supply issues and high bills.
CM Dr. Yadav highlighted that the state’s irrigated land area—currently 55 lakh hectares—will be expanded to 100 lakh hectares in the coming years. The Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) Project was also highlighted as a major boon for farmers in the Gwalior-Chambal region.
CM Dr. Yadav announced from the Dandarua Dham stage Ayurvedic Medical College, Nursing College, and Paramedical Training Institute to be opened at Dandarua Dham. Approval of Ratangarh Mata Multipurpose Irrigation Project worth Rs. 2800 crore, benefitting farmers in Mehgaon and Gohad constituencies. Dharouli and Amayan gram panchayats to be upgraded to Nagar Parishads after assessment. A sports stadium for youth and a children’s park under Amrit 2.0 scheme to be developed in Mehgaon. Widening of Mau-Gohad road to ensure better access for pilgrims to Dandarua Sarkar Dham. Inauguration and Bhhomi-Poojan of 50 development works worth Rs. 44.50 crore.
CM Dr. Yadav also praised Bhind district as a land of valour and lauded the spiritual faith associated with Dr. Hanuman of Mehgaon, believed to cure even severe ailments like cancer. He noted how the region, once known for dacoit dominance, is now a growing hub of peace and development.
