Now Monthly Payouts Under CM Milk Producer Support Scheme: Special Policy for Border Dairy Unions Announced

504 Dairy Department Posts to Be Advertised Soon, Says Dairy Minister Joraram Kumawat

Jaipur : Under the Chief Minister Milk Producer Support Scheme, dairy farmers will now receive payments every month. This directive was issued by Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Cow Rearing, and Devasthan Minister Shri Joraram Kumawat during a review meeting held at the Secretariat on Monday.

Kumawat instructed that all pending payments under the scheme be cleared immediately. For FY 2024–25, the Rajasthan government had allocated ₹600 crore for the scheme, later revised to ₹500 crore. Of this, ₹468.32 crore has already been released, with ₹12.27 crore pending at the Jaipur Treasury. The remaining ₹19.41 crore will be forwarded to the treasury after data entry in the ERP system.

For FY 2025–26, the state has allocated ₹650 crore, out of which ₹164 crore has been approved, and ₹122.27 crore worth of orders have already been issued. Consequently, dairy farmers will soon receive payments for January to March 2025, followed by April to June disbursals by end of July. From July 2025, monthly payments under the scheme will commence on a regular basis.

School and Anganwadi Milk Supply Also to Resume Soon

Kumawat shared that 66,000 schools under the Pannadhay Bal Gopal Yojana have received orders for milk powder supply under the Mid-Day Meal program. The R.C.D.F. (Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation) will supply 3,700 metric tons in the first phase, benefiting 6 million students. Last year, 7,800 metric tons had been supplied.

Similarly, under the Mukhyamantri Amrit Aahar Yojana, 1,400 metric tons of milk powder will be supplied in the first phase to benefit 1 million children across 62,000 Anganwadi centres.

Recruitment for 504 Dairy Posts to Begin Soon

Minister Kumawat announced that the recruitment process for 504 posts in R.C.D.F. and various dairy unions will soon begin. Applications will be accepted online via the Rajasthan Cooperative Recruitment Board starting in the first half of July.

Additionally, proposals will be sent to the Finance Department to create 106 new posts in newly formed dairy unions (Jaisalmer, Rajsamand, and Baran) and approve 390 posts in 9 other unions that have overcome past losses.

Special Policy for Four Border Dairy Unions

A separate policy will be introduced to strengthen four dairy unions located along the Gujarat border—Udaipur, Banswara, Raniwada-Jalore, and Barmer. These unions will get upgraded processing plants, and additional incentives per litre of milk will be provided to local producers. The Minister also mentioned plans to expand accident and health insurance benefits for dairy farmers.

Training for Women in Dairy Cooperatives

To boost profitability in dairy unions, the department will organize a three-day training camp from July 4–6 at Banas Dairy, Gujarat, for 48 women secretaries from the Jaipur, Sikar, Bharatpur, and Tonk dairy cooperatives.

The review meeting also evaluated progress on the following:

  • Tree plantation drives during the monsoon session.
  • Production and sales from cattle feed plants.
  • Financial health and operations of dairy unions.
  • Use of cow dung for organic fertilizer.
  • Progress on the Rajsamand Dairy Plant and the UHT and cattle feed plant in Bhilwara.
  • Implementation of Budget 2024–25 and 2025–26 announcements.

Key officials in attendance included R.C.D.F. MD Shruti Bhardwaj, GM Santosh Kumar Sharma, Financial Advisor Dr. Akash Aala, and Marketing Managers Damodar Singh Dewal and Rajesh Sanganeriyah.
