Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Office to Be Established in Ahmedabad: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that in order to accelerate industrial development and streamline the investment process in Madhya Pradesh, a new office of the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) will be established in Ahmedabad. He shared this while addressing the Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh, held at Hotel Marriott in Surat, Gujarat.
The Surat session proved fruitful, with investment proposals worth Rs. 15,710 crore received. These proposals are expected to generate employment for over 11,250 people.
CM Dr. Yadav emphasized that ease of doing business, transparency, fairness, and adherence to timelines are key pillars of the state’s approach to industrial and commercial growth. Under the banner of “Industry and Employment Year 2025”, Madhya Pradesh is making significant strides in heavy industries, MSMEs, and cottage industries.
CM Dr. Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s industrial potential, geographical advantage, expanding infrastructure, and policy innovations. He noted the state’s 39% agricultural growth rate, skilled human
resources, and abundant mineral reserves, making it suitable for all sectors—textiles, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and tourism among them. He assured investors that subsidies in the state are directly transferred to beneficiaries’ accounts under DBT, ensuring complete transparency. Gujarat, he said, has been a global leader in industry, and under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has become more secure and prosperous, marked by transformative projects like the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Mahakal Lok in Ujjain, and the revamped Kashi Vishwanath corridor. He praised Gujarat for giving the nation leaders like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, and highlighted that diamonds mined in Panna, Madhya Pradesh, are polished in Surat, just as cotton grown in Madhya Pradesh fuels Surat’s textile industry.
The session aimed to deepen connections with Gujarat’s industrial groups, especially in textiles, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, engineering, and gems & jewellery. Dr. Yadav held one-on-one discussions with representatives of over 18 major companies from these sectors.

Robust Ecosystem and Infrastructure Makes MP an Ideal Investment Destination
Principal Secretary of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Shri Raghvendra Singh, shared that CM Yadav has travelled over 1 lakh kilometers, both within India and abroad, promoting investment in MP. The state offers Over 1 lakh acres of land bank, more than 340 industrial parks, Specialized clusters in IT, food processing, garments, plastics, textiles, and pharmaceuticals, India’s best logistics network and industrial policies, 1000 MCM water supply capacity, Uninterrupted power supply, Subsidies ranging from 10% to 40%. Investors from Gujarat see MP as their second business home due to its transparent land allotment system and smooth project initiation processes.
The upcoming PM MITRA Park in Dhar—spread over 2,000 acres with Rs. 2,000 crore investment—will feature plug-and-play facilities, solar power, and centralized steam boilers, and is set to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister in the next two months.
Several Gujarat-based industrialists shared their success stories in MP. Shri Ram Prakash Beria, Founder of Millennium Baby Care and Care Fit Industries, praised the state’s supportive industrial ecosystem. His group has already invested Rs. 400 crore in Indore and is expanding with an additional Rs. 200 crore, while planning Rs. 600 crore more through other ventures. Shri Chintan Thakkar, Group President of Welspun World, appreciated MP’s logistics and MSME policies. Shri Jigneshbhai Mehta, Director of Torrent Power, lauded the state’s infrastructure and responsive administration. Shri Govindbhai Dholakia, Chairman of SRK Group, said Gujarat’s entrepreneurs view Madhya Pradesh as a second home, thanks to its transparency and investor trust.
Over 400 industry representatives participated in the session. CM Dr. Yadav inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. He was felicitated with mementos by members of the Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce, and Metaxil.
The Chief Minister welcomed investors to set up industries in Madhya Pradesh and assured them of all necessary support.
