Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviews pending assets and liabilities between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a review meeting on Wednesday at the Secretariat regarding the pending assets and liabilities between the states of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed officials to expedite the resolution of matters where mutual agreements had been reached in the previous inter-state meetings. He directed that for cases where action is already underway, concerned officials should hold discussions with their Uttar Pradesh counterparts for an early resolution.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami is also expected to hold a meeting soon with the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath, to further address pending issues related to assets and liabilities between the two states.
Following the previous meeting between the Chief Ministers of both states, permission has been granted for water sports in the reservoirs and canals located in Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts. The Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department has made a payment of ₹57.87 crore towards electricity bills. The Uttar Pradesh Fisheries Corporation has paid ₹3.98 crore to the Uttarakhand Fisheries Development Agency. Partial payment has also been made towards dues to the Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation. The outstanding dues of the Transport Corporation have been cleared. Additionally, a decision has been made regarding the disposal of properties under the Housing Development Council of the Housing Department.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretaries Shri R.K. Sudhanshu and Shri R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Dr. Neeraj Kherwal, and other senior departmental officials.
