Fertilizers and Seeds Being Supplied to Farmers Through Cooperative Societies in the District
Raipur : With the onset of continuous rainfall, the sowing of Kharif crops is in full swing across the district. In line with the directives of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the district administration has ensured an adequate supply of fertilizers and seeds through cooperative societies to meet the demands of farmers.
The Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) have been actively stocking and distributing DAP, Urea, Potash, and high-quality seeds. So far, farmers in the district have lifted 23,015.80 quintals of seeds and 28,260 metric tonnes of fertilizers. The storage and supply of fertilizers such as Urea, DAP, Potash, NPK, Single Super Phosphate, Nano Urea, and Nano DAP are ongoing based on demand, ensuring timely distribution through these cooperatives.
Local farmer Shri Pankaj Kumar Deshmukh from Sankara J. Cooperative Society expressed his satisfaction, stating that he has received an adequate quantity of seeds and fertilizers from the society. Specifically, he collected 9 sacks of DAP and 9 sacks of Urea for his crop requirements. Delighted with the timely availability, Pankaj said that it has made his farming activities more efficient and productive. He added that the availability of essential agricultural inputs at the right time is likely to increase crop yields.
Thanking the government and administration, Pankaj acknowledged the positive impact of farmer-friendly schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Krishak Unnati Yojana, and the procurement of 21 quintals of paddy, which have significantly transformed the lives of farmers and empowered the farming community.
