Bastar’s Breathtaking Natural Beauty Comes Alive in the Monsoon
Special Monsoon Trekking Events to Attract Tourists
Raipur : With the arrival of the monsoon, Bastar district in Chhattisgarh transforms into a breathtaking paradise of natural beauty. Verdant landscapes, gushing waterfalls, and dense forests create an enchanting atmosphere that leaves visitors spellbound. This season offers the perfect opportunity for families and nature lovers to explore the lush beauty of Bastar.

To promote tourism, the district administration is organizing special Monsoon Trekking events. These programs are designed around the concept of eco-tourism, encouraging exploration of the district’s natural marvels during the rainy season. Treks will be conducted to scenic locations such as waterfalls, hills, and forested trails, led by trained local guides to provide an immersive and safe experience for tourists.
For those planning a weekend getaway, Bastar’s famous waterfalls—Chitrakote, Tirathgarh, Chitradhara, Mendrighoomar, Tamdaghoomar, Bijakasa, and Michnar—offer the ideal blend of natural beauty, monsoon trekking trails, and photography opportunities.

Connectivity is also convenient for tourists: a daily train service operates from Visakhapatnam, with flights available daily from Hyderabad and twice a week from Delhi. Jagdalpur is also connected by regular bus services to Raipur, Bilaspur, Ambikapur, Hyderabad, and Visakhapatnam. The trekking program is being conducted in collaboration with the Unexplored Bastar initiative. For more information, tourists can contact 9109188567 or 8962991988.
