Chief Minister Meets K. Moses Chalai, IAS, Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Finance

Aizawl : While on his visit to Delhi, Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma held a meeting with K. Moses Chalai, IAS, Secretary of the Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Finance, at Mizoram House, New Delhi. During the meeting, they discussed the potential of utilizing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds to support development initiatives in Mizoram.

The Chief Minister informed the Secretary that the State Government had already submitted a request to the Union Finance Minister, proposing that at least 10% of CSR funds be earmarked specifically for Northeast States. He expressed hope that the Ministry would take steps to facilitate increased CSR contributions to Mizoram. In response, the Secretary assured that the matter is being actively pursued and highlighted that the Union Finance Secretary had already reviewed the proposal.

The Chief Minister also expressed gratitude to the Secretary for his support in the past, particularly when he served as Secretary of the North Eastern Council (NEC), during which several sanctions were approved for Mizoram-specific projects.
