Dharti Aba Janbhagidari Campaign Brings Relief and Benefits to Tribal Communities
Raipur : The Dharti Aba Janbhagidari Campaign has proven to be a boon for tribal beneficiaries, bringing with it a wave of relief and government support. Launched under the Central Government’s initiative to improve services and infrastructure in tribal regions and ensure individual rights, benefit saturation camps were held in various villages across the state. These camps became a lifeline for many tribal individuals in Balod district who, for various reasons, could not access government offices or essential services located in district or block headquarters.
Through these camps, numerous tribal beneficiaries were provided direct access to government schemes and had their pressing concerns resolved within their villages and nearby areas. This not only ensured faster redressal of issues but also saved them the trouble of traveling long distances to government offices.
In Balod district, benefit saturation camps in villages like Badbhoom (Gurur Block) and Mangaltarai (Dondi Block) proved especially impactful. Beneficiaries received Ayushman Cards, Jan Dhan accounts, ration cards, pensions, and financial aid under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. The joy among beneficiaries was palpable as they expressed gratitude to the government for addressing their real needs.
In Badbhoom, Ayushman cards were issued to 13 beneficiaries, Jan Dhan accounts were opened for 2 individuals, and health check-ups were conducted for 13 villagers. In Mangaltarai, 40 Ayushman cards were distributed, 16 received PM-Kisan benefits, 4 were enrolled in the Jan Dhan scheme, 11 were given social pensions, and 4 new ration cards were created. Free medical checkups and sickle cell tests were also carried out, along with distribution of free medicines.
