Chhattisgarh Assembly Resonates with Devotion through Maithili Thakur’s Melodious Bhajans
The Chhattisgarh Assembly premises were transformed into an atmosphere of devotion and divinity today as renowned folk singer Ms. Maithili Thakur enthralled the audience with her soulful renditions of bhajans dedicated to Lord Ram. The performance was part of the cultural evening organized under the Excellence Award Ceremony, held to mark the Silver Jubilee Year 2025 of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly.
During the evening, Ms. Thakur mesmerized the gathering with spiritually uplifting bhajans such as “Shri Ram Ko Dekhkar Jagat Janani Nandani…”, “Mere Jhupdi Ke Bhag Khul Jayenge…”, and “Mere Ram Ki Kripa Se Sab Kaam Ho Raha Hai…” Her sweet and captivating voice transported the audience into a realm of devotion and reverence.
Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Raman Singh and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai honored Ms. Maithili Thakur on the main stage by presenting her with a shawl, a coconut, and a commemorative memento.
On this special occasion, Governor Shri Ramesh Bais, Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Leader of the Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant, along with several Members of Parliament and MLAs, graced the event and enjoyed the grand cultural evening.
