Chief Minister Kanya Vivaah Yojana removes worries about marriage of daughters

Raipur : The main objective of the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivaah Yojana is to remove the financial problems faced by poor families, to prevent wasteful expenditure on the occasion of marriage, and to improve the social status by organizing mass marriages. Yesterday, 45 couples tied the knot under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivaah Yojana in Raigarh district. The government transferred an amount of Rs. 35,000 in the name of the girl to the bank account of each couple. Bags, cosmetics, clothes etc. were given to the bride and groom as gifts and the couples were given marriage certificates.  

Among these, Smt. Devanti Sidar, a resident of Gopalpur, Boirdadar and Smt. Bharti, a resident of Bhagwanpur, told that they got married on 16 July 2024 under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana. They were registered through Anganwadi worker and got the benefit of this scheme. They told that they are very happy with their husbands now. Due to poverty, it was a big challenge for the family to get married, but due to this scheme this challenge was solved easily. Thanking Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwada, the beneficiaries said that this scheme reduced the financial burden of our parents and enabled us to get married with pomp and show.

Many schemes are being run by the Chhattisgarh government for women. Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Mahtari Jatan Yojana, one of these schemes is Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana. Under this scheme, the government provides assistance to those who are financially weak. The daughters of such families are given the benefit of this scheme. Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance to the daughters of poor families for marriage. Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana is reducing the financial burden of parents by getting the daughters of families with weak financial conditions married. Parents who have daughters in their house start worrying as soon as their daughter reaches marriageable age. It is the dream of every parent that their daughter should be married with pomp and show, but due to financial constraints the dream remains unfulfilled. In such a situation, Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana is reducing the financial burden of parents of thousands of families and removing their worries.
