Social Organisations Play a Vital Role in the Health Sector – CM Devendra Fadnavis

CM Inaugurates Gandhar Foundation’s Free Dialysis Centre

Mumbai : To ensure that quality healthcare reaches the common man and to further strengthen the health services in the state, the government is implementing various schemes and initiatives, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He added that along with government efforts, the contribution of social organisations in delivering essential health services to the needy is invaluable.

CM Fadnavis was speaking at the inauguration of a state-of-the-art Free Dialysis Centre set up by the Gandhar Foundation at DHL Park, Goregaon (West), which he formally inaugurated.

The Chief Minister said the government is committed to ensuring that no patient in the state is deprived of healthcare and receives timely treatment. Under the Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, free treatment up to ₹5 lakh is provided. He praised Gandhar Foundation for stepping up to fill a critical healthcare gap by launching a free dialysis centre to provide timely and advanced treatment to kidney patients.

“This step by Gandhar Foundation, taken in the spirit of social responsibility, is truly commendable and sets an inspiring example for others working in the social sector,” said CM Fadnavis.

The centre will provide free dialysis treatment to 30 patients daily, it was announced at the event.

On the occasion, MLAs Vidya Thakur and Yogesh Sagar also shared their thoughts and appreciated the initiative.

During the event, the Gandhar Foundation also presented a cheque of ₹21 lakh to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in support of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Also present at the program were MLAs Vidya Thakur, Yogesh Sagar, Atul Bhatkhalkar, Pravin Darekar, along with Chairman of Gandhar Group of Companies Ramesh Parekh, Dr. Shyam Agrawal, and Sameer Parekh, among others.
