Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Mega Drive: ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’ – Deputy CM Dr. Bairwa

Jaipur : Under the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Mega Campaign – ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’, the Department of Mines and Geology organized a tree plantation programme on Wednesday at the Government College and Swami Vivekananda Government Model School in Luni, Jodhpur district, in the esteemed presence of Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa and Parliamentary Affairs, Law, and Legal Affairs Minister Mr. Jogaram Patel.

‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ Becomes a People’s Movement
Deputy CM Dr. Bairwa said that the ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ campaign, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has now transformed into a mass movement. This campaign reflects respect for one’s mother and service to nature. Inspired by this, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma launched the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Mega Drive in Rajasthan.

Dr. Bairwa shared that over 7 crore saplings were planted last year under this initiative. This year, the target is 11 crore saplings, aimed at turning Rajasthan into a green state. He urged every citizen to plant at least one tree in their mother’s name and ensure its nurturing and growth.

Contribution to the Vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 – Dr. Bairwa
Dr. Bairwa emphasized the importance of public participation in Prime Minister Modi’s Vision for Developed India 2047. He stated that the National Education Policy is a major step towards this goal, crafted to address the needs of youth and prepare them for future challenges.

He highlighted that the new policy not only imparts academic knowledge, but also values, skills, and self-reliance, empowering students to build their futures while contributing positively to the state and the nation.

Better Educational Opportunities for Youth – Mr. Patel
Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Mr. Jogaram Patel stated that holistic development of the Luni region remains a top priority. He emphasized that youth in the area are now gaining improved access to quality education.

He added that strengthening the Luni Government College with better infrastructure and resources is a key objective. This will enable students to pursue higher education with confidence. Mr. Patel also requested the Deputy CM (Higher Education) to introduce Home Science as a new subject and upgrade the college to a postgraduate institution.

Visit to Shikarpura Ashram and Blessings from Saint Rajaram Maharaj
On Wednesday, Deputy CM Dr. Premchand Bairwa visited the Shikarpura Ashram in Jodhpur district and offered prayers to Saint Rajaram Maharaj, seeking blessings for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Rajasthan. Minister Jogaram Patel accompanied him on this spiritual visit, during which Dr. Bairwa received blessings from Saint Rajaram Maharaj.

This tree plantation initiative aligns with the broader environmental and developmental goals of the state government, emphasizing public participation, ecological balance, and education-driven growth.
