Parliamentary Affairs Minister Inaugurates Development Works Worth ₹63.53 Lakh in Shikarpura

Citizens’ Standard of Living Improving with Economic Empowerment: Shri Patel — Minister Offers Prayers at Shri Rajeshwar Bhagwan Temple

As part of the ‘Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Mega Drive – Hariyalo Rajasthan’, a tree plantation and inauguration ceremony was held on Wednesday at Gram Panchayat Shikarpura (Panchayat Samiti Luni, Jodhpur district) in the esteemed presence of Parliamentary Affairs, Law, and Legal Affairs Minister Shri Jogaram Patel. On this occasion, Shri Patel inaugurated five development works worth ₹63.53 lakh.

Shri Patel stated that under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is working with public welfare at the center. He highlighted that effective schemes are being implemented for every section of society, reaching the common people directly.

He further remarked that the double-engine government is not only making the state economically strong, but is also enhancing the standard of living across all sections of society.

Tree Plantation at Shri Rajeshwar Dham

The Minister participated in a tree plantation program held in honor of the 82nd death anniversary of Shri Rajeshwar Bhagwan at Shikarpura Dham. He performed rituals and prayed for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Rajasthan. The event was graced by the presence of Mahant Shri Dayaram Maharaj of Shikarpura Dham, whose blessings were received by the gathered devotees.

Support for Agriculture and Environmental Conservation

Shri Patel reiterated the state government’s commitment to agriculture and farmer welfare, stating that the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi has been increased to ₹9,000 per year per beneficiary.

He emphasized the critical need for environmental conservation and recalled how the importance of trees was deeply felt during the oxygen crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to the Chief Minister’s tree plantation campaign, forest cover is increasing across the state, helping restore ecological balance and boost wildlife populations. He stressed the importance of protecting native and eco-friendly species like the khejri tree.


Development Works Inaugurated:

  1. Public Library Construction at Dewasiyon ka Bas, Gram Shikarpura (funded by MLA LAD) – Cost: ₹8 lakh
  2. Interlocking Path Construction near Mahadev Ji’s Shrine, Nai Aabadi Revenue Village Shikarpura (MLA LAD) – Cost: ₹5 lakh
  3. Construction of 3 Science Labs at Government Senior Secondary School, Shikarpura – Cost: ₹26.54 lakh
  4. Construction of 2 Classrooms at the same school – Cost: ₹18.99 lakh
  5. Library Construction and Renovation at the old Panchayat Bhawan complex – Cost: ₹5 lakh

This event marks a significant step in rural development, education infrastructure enhancement, and environmental awareness in the region.
