Our Government is Committed to Providing Better Healthcare: CM Vishnu Deo Sai

CM Sai Launches ‘Rakt-Mitra’ Directory, Felicitates Lifelong Red Cross Members in Jashpur

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to strengthening healthcare services across Chhattisgarh. Speaking at a special event organized by the Indian Red Cross Society in Bagia village, Jashpur district, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation, describing it as a sacred act that not only saves lives but also reflects the noblest spirit of humanitarian service.

On this occasion, CM Sai launched the “Rakt-Mitra” directory — a unique and commendable initiative that enables direct contact with voluntary blood donors. He lauded the effort, stating that this tool would streamline access to life-saving blood donations and ensure timely assistance to patients in need.

“I am proud to see citizens from all walks of life in Jashpur actively participating in health awareness and blood donation drives. The Rakt-Mitra initiative is a significant step toward creating a compassionate and responsive healthcare ecosystem,” CM Sai said. He added, “Today, as I present certificates to these donors, I feel truly honoured. Those who donate blood are no less than divine saviours.”

He reiterated the critical role blood plays in saving lives, especially when the right blood group is available at the right time. He praised the Indian Red Cross Society for organizing the highest number of blood donation camps in the state and appealed to the people of Chhattisgarh to contribute to this noble cause.

CM Sai further announced that under his leadership, the state government is making continuous strides to enhance medical services. Recently, a new fleet of ambulances was flagged off to ensure swift emergency response across the state. “I assure every citizen that our government is fully committed to providing accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare to all,” he affirmed.

During the event at the CM’s Camp Office in Bagia, certificates of appreciation were presented to lifelong members of the Red Cross Society, including Shri Neeraj Sharma, Shri Ajay Kumar Kushwaha, and Shri Shiv Narayan Soni. The Chief Minister personally recognized and applauded their contribution to society.

The “Rakt-Mitra” directory, jointly launched by the Jashpur District Administration and the Indian Red Cross Society, lists the names and contact numbers of 480 voluntary blood donors. Patients in need can directly reach out to these donors, eliminating the need to search frantically for blood in emergencies. Interested individuals can also register as Rakt-Mitras by scanning the QR code provided in the directory or by visiting the Red Cross office at the District Collectorate (Room No. 122), Jashpur.

The dignified event witnessed the presence of Smt. Gomti Sai, Vice Chairperson of Sarguja Development Authority and MLA from Pathalgaon; Smt. Raymuni Bhagat, MLA from Jashpur; Shri Salik Sai, President of the District Panchayat; Shri Shaurya Pratap Singh Judev, Vice President; Shri Arvind Bhagat, Chairman of the Municipal Council; Shri Yash Pratap Singh Judev, Vice Chairman; Collector Shri Rohit Vyas; SSP Shri Shashi Mohan Singh; Deputy Collectors Shri Hariom Dwivedi and Shri Prashant Kushwaha; Shri Rupesh Prani Grahi from the Red Cross Society, as well as a large gathering of public representatives and citizens.
