Tourism Gets a New Boost, Investment Proposals Worth Over Rs. 3,000 Crore Received at Tourism Conclave: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the Rewa Regional Tourism Conclave has marked the beginning of a new dawn for the tourism sector. Leading investors have expressed interest in investing over Rs 3,000 crore in the Rewa and Shahdol divisions, highlighting the immense potential for tourism development in these regions. This historic moment will open new doors to economic prosperity and employment. The enthusiasm among investors at the conclave was remarkable.

CM Dr. Yadav was addressing tourism investors during the inauguration of the two-day Regional Tourism Conclave in Rewa on Saturday. He formally inaugurated the event by lighting a ceremonial lamp. The conclave will continue on July 27 as well.

The Chief Minister said that true development lies in staying connected with one’s roots, culture, and heritage. He stated, “We are advancing from heritage to development in mission mode”. Vindhya region has always been the pride of Madhya Pradesh and now there are no obstacles in its progress. The government will restore the full glory of Vindhyachal by preserving its heritage sites appropriately.

CM Dr. Yadav noted that this green region, rich in sweet dialects, art, culture, cuisine and dense forests, has the full potential to become an ideal tourist destination. The government is providing all industrial sector facilities to the tourism sector. He urged investors to take full advantage of the state’s investor-friendly tourism policy. He announced that the government will provide a subsidy of Rs. 30 crore for setting up a tourist hotel, motel or resort with an investment of Rs. 100 crore. Similarly, for a wellness center worth Rs. 100 crore under health tourism, a subsidy of up to Rs. 40 crore will be provided. Moreover, if investors set up employment-generating industries, the government will offer Rs. 5,000 per month for male workers and Rs. 6,000 per month for female workers for ten years. The state will extend full support to investors in establishing their enterprises.

CM Dr. Yadav highlighted that Madhya Pradesh is the heart of India, and Vindhyachal is its beloved region. This land has given leadership to the nation. The forests here are home to white tigers that roam freely. The region is rich in minerals and iron ore and houses India’s energy capitals—Rewa and Singrauli. The Delhi Metro is powered by electricity generated here. The state aims to bring new light of development to this region that already illuminates the nation.

The Chief Minister said the upcoming airport in Rewa has added wings to the development of the region, making travel easier and more accessible. He added that Vindhya also nurtures the cultural, intellectual, and spiritual ethos of the state. Following the Regional Industry Conclave, the organization of this Regional Tourism Conclave indicates the government’s strong commitment to making the region a leading destination in tourism.

CM Dr. Yadav emphasised that Rewa and the entire Vindhyachal region are not only rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage but also blessed with unique natural wonders. With the development of Rewa Airport, the region is now well-connected to other parts of the country.

CM Dr. Yadav reiterated the government’s commitment to the holistic development of the Vindhya region, identifying all possibilities for promoting tourism in this ancient and heritage-rich area. The vibrant forests and breathtaking natural beauty enhance the region’s charm. Under the spirit of ‘VasudhaivaKutumbakam’, the state seeks to unite all people and ensure the continuous flow of development.

Along with religious tourism, the region also holds vast potential for health tourism. CM Dr. Yadav concluded by stating that the government is eager to partner with private investors to explore new possibilities for tourism in the Vindhya region. He invited investors to come forward wholeheartedly and invest in Madhya Pradesh, especially in the Vindhya region, assuring them of every necessary support and facility from the government.CM Dr. Yadav Holds One-on-One Discussions with Investors

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held one-on-one discussions with investors at the Rewa Regional Tourism Conclave. Shri Ram Ola, Managing Director of Flyola, expressed intent to invest Rs. 700 crore—the largest proposed investment—signaling the beginning of major tourism projects in the region.

Shri Divyansh Singh Baghel of RCRCP and Vindhya Pride expressed a desire to invest Rs. 500 crore. Similarly, Shri Amit Digvijay Singh also proposed an investment of Rs. 500 crore, while Shri Ajit Sandadiya, Managing Director of Sandadiya Builders, announced plans to invest Rs. 300 crore.Additional investment interests were expressed as follows

Shri Gajendra Singh Rathore of Jungle Camp India-Rs. 150 crore.

Shri Gaurav Pratap Singh and Shri Pushparaj Singh- Rs. 100 crore each.

Shri Manvendra Singh Shekhawat, Managing Director of Rajasthan Fort & Palace: Rs. 100 crore to develop heritage properties.

Shri Anuj and Vijay Tiwari (Eco Park)-Rs. 80 crore.

Shri Anil Agrawal (Tathastu Resort)-Rs. 150 crore.

Shri Siddharth Singh Tomar-Rs. 15 crore.

Shri Vaibhav Singh Kaurav (Siddhivinayak Construction)-Rs. 10 crore.

Shri Kailash Fulwani-Rs. 5 crore

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said that the pace of work in tourism and industry in Madhya Pradesh has set an exemplary standard for the entire country. Rewa is a region full of immense potential. Its Keoti and Bahuti waterfalls rival the Niagara Falls in grandeur, and Sarasi Island offers an experience akin to the Maldives. With Rewa now connected by air, its development will gain new momentum. He affirmed that under the leadership of CM Dr. Yadav, Vindhya’s development is assured.

Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Prahlad Patel stated that Rewa’s natural environment and land are more than enough to attract any tourist. Its connectivity through all transport mediums is now well established. He emphasized that Dr. Yadav’s tenure as CM will be known for significant strides in development and investment across every region of the state. He also expressed gratitude to CM Dr. Yadav for organizing region-wise summits.

Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya remarked that this is not just a government—it is an investor-friendly team. The investment inflow over the past one and a half years is itself a record. Under CM Dr. Yadav’s leadership, this government is turning Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s dreams into reality.

Dr. Jyotsna Suri of The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group praised Madhya Pradesh for its progress in responsible and sustainable tourism. She credited CM Dr. Yadav’s leadership for bringing global attention to Rewa’s tourism potential and thanked the state government for making offbeat destinations more accessible and tourist-friendly.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism, Culture and Religious Trusts and Endowments Shri Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi said that under CM Dr. Mohan Yadav’s leadership, Madhya Pradesh tourism is reaching new heights. He described CM Dr. Yadav as a ‘man of ideas’ with the determination to turn them into reality. He highlighted the state’s rich archaeological, natural, historical, wildlife and religious diversity, noting that over 13.41 crore tourists visited Madhya Pradesh in 2024. Under the new tourism policy, the number of required NOCs has been reduced from 30 to 10, and a single-window system has been implemented. The new film tourism policy offers subsidies up to Rs.2 crore, helping Madhya Pradesh earn the “Most Film-Friendly Award”. He invited everyone to visit Madhya Pradesh.

rincipal Secretary, Tourism and Culture, and Managing Director of the Tourism Board, Shri Shiv Shekhar Shukla, emphasised the state’s deep cultural roots. Tourists from around the world come to experience Madhya Pradesh’s traditional arts. He highlighted the attractive features of the state’s tourism and film policies, stating that investors are welcomed with a red-carpet approach. He urged all investors to come forward, assuring them of full government support. This investment will play a vital role in showcasing the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Rewa and Shahdol on the global stage. He added that these efforts will strengthen the local economy, create thousands of direct and indirect jobs and establish the region as a major tourism hub.Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart (MPTM)

MPTM will soon be organised to provide a common platform for tourism stakeholders—including hotel and resort owners, transport operators, and travel/tour operators—to showcase their tourism products and conduct business discussions. Buyers from various source markets across the country will be invited to the event, which will foster opportunities for business growth and investments in the state.

The initiative is expected to generate employment, improve infrastructure, uplift rural communities, and offer tourists new destinations and unique experiences.Inaugurations and Bhoomi-Pujan by CM Dr. Mohan Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav laid the foundation stone for a project under the Government of India’s Swadesh Darshan scheme to develop spiritual experiences along the Mandakini River at Raghav Ghat and Bharat Ghat in Chitrakoot at a cost of approximately Rs. 27 crore.

He also inaugurated the newly built Shahdol Food Craft Institute constructed at a cost of Rs. 15.62 crore, to train youth in the tourism sector. The institute is recognized by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) and will offer diploma courses as well as free skill programs like the Ministry of Tourism’s “Hunar Se Rozgar Tak”, providing significant employment opportunities for the state’s youth.Launch of Tourism Booking Portals

CM Dr. Yadav launched the PM Shri Tourism Air Service Booking Portal on the IRCTC platform. The service is currently operating between major cities of Madhya Pradesh such as Bhopal, Indore, Satna, Rewa, and Singrauli. He also launched the Home-Stay Online Booking Portal, digitally linking rural tourism villages’ homestays to booking platforms. Local homestays can now be easily booked through major online travel agencies such as MakeMyTrip, EaseMyTripand Yatra.com, offering them greater visibility and higher booking rates.MoUs for Art & Craft Centres and Digital Outreach

In CM Dr. Yadav’s presence, MoUs were signed with Gram Sudhar Samiti, M.M. Foundation, and Samarth Sanstha to establish art and craft centres in Mandla, Dindori, Singrauli, Sidhi, and Seoni. These initiatives, under the Responsible Tourism Mission, aim to preserve local arts and crafts, provide training, enhance production, and generate livelihood opportunities for women and artisans.

The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board also signed MoUs with two major digital marketing firms, Barcode Entertainment and Quicki Digital, to promote the state’s beauty, cultural heritage, and tourist destinations through digital platforms and social media, reaching a wide and especially young audience.

In addition, in the presence of the Chief Minister, a Letter of Award was issued by the Department of Culture to the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts for the conservation and development of Venkata Bhavan in Rewa, with a budget of Rs. 20 crore.Letters of Allotment to Four Major Investors

Prayas Power (Bhopal) Allotted 2 hectares in Nehrayai, Vidisha, with an investment plan of ₹3 crore.

Afford Motors Pvt. Ltd. (Jabalpur) To invest ₹1 crore on 0.405 hectares in Nanhakheda.

M/s Siddhivinayak Construction (Jabalpur) Will develop a hotel/resort with an investment of Rs. 3 crore on 3.805 hectares in Kumroda village, Narsinghpur.Road to Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart (MPTM)

The Rewa Conclave was a key prelude to the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart (MPTM), to be held in Bhopal from October 11–13, 2025. Similar regional tourism conclaves are also being organized in Gwalior (August 12–13) and Indore (September 20–21) as part of the state’s integrated tourism strategy.

The event was graced by Minister of State Smt. Pratibha Bagri, former Speaker Shri Girish Gautam, MP from Satna Shri Ganesh Singh, actress Sanvikaa Singh, actor Mukesh Tiwari, investors and a large number of citizens.
