“Hariyalo Rajasthan 2.0” Gains Strength Through Public Participation : 11 Lakh Saplings Planted on Hariyali Teej – Deputy CM Premchand Bairwa

Jaipur : “Those with foresight are the ones who can turn public welfare initiatives into reality,” said Deputy Chief Minister and District In-Charge Minister Premchand Bairwa at a mega plantation drive held in Daulpura, a village under the Mandalgarh Panchayat Samiti in Bhilwara district.

Under the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Campaign and the “Hariyalo Rajasthan 2.0” initiative, Bairwa, serving as the chief guest, oversaw the planting of 51,000 saplings in the specially designated ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ Garden. This large-scale event was organized to mark the auspicious occasion of Hariyali Teej, with widespread participation from villagers, school children, public representatives, and officials, all contributing by planting trees on common grazing lands.

Environmental Awareness and Emotional Bonding

The Deputy CM emphasized that this campaign is not just about environmental conservation—it also fosters an emotional connection. “When we dedicate a sapling to our mother, father, teacher, or a great personality, we create a personal bond, and nurturing the plant becomes a heartfelt responsibility,” Bairwa said. He described the campaign initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “symbol of national consciousness,” and commended Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma for effectively implementing it at the state level as “a model of impactful leadership.”

“One Tree in Mother’s Name” Becomes a People’s Movement

Mandalgarh MLA Gopal Lal Sharma described the campaign as a growing people’s movement and called it a moral responsibility for every citizen to plant at least one sapling. Referring to the lessons learned during the COVID era, he urged everyone to maintain harmony with nature.

The event included cultural performances by schoolchildren, adding a festive atmosphere to the event. The enthusiastic participation of women, youth, and local villagers turned the campaign into a model of public involvement.

District Targets 32 Lakh Trees; 11 Lakh Planted in One Day

District Collector Jasmeet Singh Sandhu reported that 11 lakh saplings were planted in a single day across the district to mark Hariyali Teej. The district has set a target of planting 32 lakh saplings this year. All planted trees are being geo-tagged for tracking and accountability.

Review of Flagship Schemes

Following the plantation drive, the Deputy CM chaired a district-level review meeting at the Mandalgarh Panchayat Committee auditorium. He conducted an in-depth review of the state government’s flagship schemes across departments and instructed officials to ensure timely, transparent, and high-quality delivery of benefits to eligible beneficiaries.

He emphasized that every government scheme is grounded in policy commitment and grassroots impact, and any negligence will not be tolerated. During the meeting, direct feedback was taken from public representatives, and real-time data and progress reports were collected from officials.

Press Briefing Highlights Government Achievements

After the review, Bairwa addressed the media, sharing the key achievements of the state government’s last 1.5 years in office. He compared the current administration’s focus on policy clarity, good governance, women empowerment, farmer welfare, youth development, and social security with the power-centric politics of the previous government.

Listening to PM’s “Mann Ki Baat” & Health Kit Distribution

To conclude the event, Deputy CM Bairwa, along with other public representatives and officials, listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” program and also participated in the distribution of Nikshay kits by the Health Department.
