Commerce & Industries Minister Pu F. Rodingliana Presents Appreciation Awards to Ngopa Block’s Achievers under the Aspirational Block Program

Saitual : Today, under the NITI Aayog’s Aspirational Block initiative ‘Sampoornata Abhiyan’, an appreciation program titled ‘Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh’ was held at the Saitual Auditorium to recognize the high-performing officials and workers of Ngopa block. The event was graced by Pu F. Rodingliana, Minister of Commerce & Industries, who served as the chief guest and presented the awards.

In his address, Minister Pu F. Rodingliana expressed pride that Ngopa RD Block has emerged as one of the best-performing blocks under the NITI Aayog’s Sampoornata Abhiyan, achieving excellence across six key parameters. He acknowledged the leadership of the District Collector and the hard work of officials including the BDO, and staff from various departments like Health, ICDS, and Agriculture. The Minister lauded their dedication and commended the efforts of frontline workers.

He further stated that Ngopa, which was once among the most backward blocks, has shown significant improvement and no longer deserves that label. He emphasized the importance of continued efforts to sustain and enhance this progress. He mentioned that infrastructure improvements, including road links like the Tuisa link road and connectivity between Mimbung, Teikhang, and Hrianghmun, are underway and nearing completion.

The Minister also announced that the government has already allocated funds for upgrading the Community Health Centre (CHC) and staff quarters in Ngopa, with implementation now in progress. Additionally, he shared that ICU units are being set up in all districts of Mizoram. He appreciated the launch of the ‘Aakanksha Haat’ exhibition showcasing Self Help Group (SHG) products and encouraged greater promotion of local goods. He noted that the Commerce & Industries Department is working on establishing a large market space at MINECO, Aizawl, for the promotion of local produce. Once completed, it will be a major platform for SHGs to market their products.

During the event, Saitual DC Dr. Lalngura Tlau also spoke and appreciated the efforts of those involved. A detailed report on the program’s progress was presented by Pi Dorothy Muansangi, SDO (C) and BDO, Ngopa. The event was formally concluded with a vote of thanks by Pi Christina Lalnunfeli, SDC.

The 3-day Aakanksha Haat exhibition (from 28th to 30th July) will continue to showcase and sell local SHG products to the public.
