“Ensure tight security during Prime Minister’s Kashi visit,” directs CM Yogi

Varanasi : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday reviewed preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Varanasi, directing officials to ensure tight security, timely completion of all arrangements, and proper facilities for attendees at the public meeting in Banauli, Sevapuri.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to ensure comprehensive arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Varanasi. He emphasized uninterrupted cleanliness campaigns in the city through ward-wise committees, proper facilities at the public meeting venue—including drinking water and toilets—and strict measures to prevent waterlogging.

The police administration has been tasked with ensuring smooth traffic flow on the PM’s route, while the public address system must function without interruption. The CM also instructed that all formalities related to the inauguration and foundation-laying of projects be completed on time.

With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Varanasi scheduled during the holy month of Shravan, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized that the event must be organized in a systematic and successful manner. He directed strict action against those attempting to disrupt the atmosphere and called for close monitoring of such elements.

The CM instructed officials to make rain-ready preparations at the venue, run a cleanliness campaign in the Varuna River, and ensure a ban on single-use plastic near the meeting site. He underscored that it is the collective responsibility of all to ensure the event’s success.

Meanwhile, Divisional Commissioner S. Rajalingam gave a detailed presentation on the administrative preparations for the Prime Minister’s proposed Varanasi visit, including the projects to be inaugurated or for which foundation stones will be laid. Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal also briefed the Chief Minister on the police department’s preparations, covering law and order, parking arrangements, the public meeting venue, and the designated safe house.

Labor and Employment Minister Anil Rajbhar, Minister of State for Stamp (Independent Charge) Ravindra Jaiswal, Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Dr. Dayashankar Mishra ‘Dayalu’, Legislative Council member Hansraj Vishwakarma, Rai Dharmendra Singh, MLA Dr. Awadhesh Singh, Tribhuvan Ram, Saurabh Srivastava, Dr. Sunil Patel, Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari along with administrative, police and departmental officers were present at the meeting.
