Chief Minister to Review Lok Sabha Constituency-Wise Assembly Plans Every Three Months

Officers must take public issues raised by MLAs seriously — Chief Minister directs quarterly review of development works in each assembly segment

Resolving public issues remains the top priority of the state government. Regular monitoring of ongoing projects must be ensured, and all schemes should be completed within the stipulated timeline. These directives were issued by Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami during a review meeting of announcements and developmental works under the Tehri Lok Sabha constituency held at the Secretariat on Wednesday.

During the review, the Chief Minister instructed officials to take the public concerns raised by MLAs with utmost seriousness. He emphasized that to resolve various challenges in the assembly constituencies, officials must remain in continuous dialogue with the respective legislators.

To ensure effective implementation of announcements and other key schemes in all 70 assembly constituencies of the state, Additional Secretary-level officers will be appointed to act as a bridge between the administration and the assembly constituencies.

The Chief Minister also directed the Chief Secretary to conduct reviews of the ongoing works in each constituency at his own level. Additionally, departmental secretaries were asked to regularly review the issues pertaining to their departments and ensure prompt resolution.

The Chief Minister himself will conduct a review of the works in each Lok Sabha constituency every three months. He also directed that the progress or actions taken on the public issues raised by the MLAs during the meeting should be reported to the concerned legislators and the Chief Minister’s Office within a week.

He reiterated that resolving public grievances is the state government’s top priority and instructed officials to ensure that no unnecessary delay occurs in people-centric projects.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed officials to expedite all construction work after the monsoon season. He also urged MLAs to send proposals for short-term, mid-term, and long-term works in their respective constituencies.

The CM further emphasized regular monitoring of all ongoing projects and completion within deadlines.

MLAs raised issues related to road construction and widening, healthcare facilities, waterlogging, beautification works, water supply for irrigation, drainage and sewerage problems, embankment construction, and the development of drainage channels, among others. The Chief Minister instructed officers to address all these issues promptly.

It was informed during the meeting that out of 469 announcements made by Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami in the Tehri Lok Sabha region, 305 have already been completed, while work on the remaining announcements is ongoing.

Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan directed all secretaries and district magistrates to take immediate action on the issues flagged by MLAs in their respective constituencies. He also instructed that updates on progress related to CM announcements be shared with the respective MLAs and the Announcement Cell.

The two Divisional Commissioners were also directed to act as a bridge between legislators, secretaries, and district magistrates for the resolution of public problems.

The meeting was attended by Cabinet Minister Shri Ganesh Joshi, MLAs Shri Khajan Das, Shri Kishore Upadhyay, Shri Pritam Singh Panwar, Shri Suresh Singh Chauhan, Shri Shakti Lal Shah, Shri Sahdev Pundir, Smt. Savita Kapoor, Shri Umesh Sharma Kau, Shri Durgeshwar Lal, Vice-Chairman of the Infrastructure Monitoring Council Shri Vishwas Dabur, Principal Secretaries Shri R.K. Sudhanshu, Shri L.L. Fanai, Dr. R. Meenakshi Sundaram, various secretaries, additional secretaries, department heads, and district magistrates via virtual mode.
