TNSDC and ICT Academy Launch “Vetri Nichayam” to Enhance Youth Employability in the IT Sector
The Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), the state’s nodal agency for skill development, has partnered with ICT Academy to launch the “Vetri Nichayam” program – an ambitious initiative aimed at empowering 20,000 unemployed youth aged 21–25 across Tamil Nadu with industry-relevant IT skills and placement support.
Set to commence in August 2025, the program offers advanced training in cutting-edge technologies, aligning with Tamil Nadu’s status as a thriving IT hub, particularly in Chennai. With over a million professionals currently employed in the state’s vibrant IT sector, this initiative aims to bridge the skills gap and boost employability among fresh graduates.
Under this flagship initiative, participants will receive comprehensive training in emerging technologies, including the following domains and job roles:
- Networking and Cybersecurity Essentials (CISCO)
- Microsoft Power BI – Data Analytics
- Microsoft Azure – AI Engineer
- Robotic Process Automation (UiPath)
- Salesforce Platform Developer
- Salesforce Administrator
- Google Cloud Engineer
- MongoDB Associate Developer
- Premier Banker
- Angular JS
- J2EE Programming
- ASP.NET Programming
- Advanced Python Programming
- Data Analytics using Python
- Digital Marketing
This collaboration brings together TNSDC’s in-depth knowledge of the state’s skilling needs and ICT Academy’s proven expertise in training students and educators to produce industry-ready talent. The program will also include career guidance and placement assistance for all eligible candidates.
The “Vetri Nichayam” initiative is a significant step toward building a skilled, dynamic workforce, supporting the state’s continued leadership in the national technology landscape. This non-residential program will be conducted across nine key districts: Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Salem, Coimbatore, Trichy, Madurai, and Tirunelveli.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Only students who graduated between 2022 and 2025 are eligible.
- Engineering graduates in CSE, ECE, or EEE (with no standing arrears).
- Arts & Science graduates with BCA, B.Sc. (CS), MCA, or any degree with Computer Science as a subject (with no standing arrears).
- Willingness to relocate for employment opportunities.
The program exemplifies Tamil Nadu’s commitment to youth empowerment through skill development and job readiness.
