Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai Meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi — Chhattisgarh’s Development Gains New Momentum

Invites PM to Attend ‘Amrit Rajat Mahotsav’ on November 1

Raipur, Aug 25 : Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnudev Sai, met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today at the Parliament House in New Delhi. During the meeting, the Chief Minister extended a formal invitation to the Prime Minister to attend the Amrit Rajat Mahotsav on 1st November 2025 in Raipur as the Chief Guest. He also briefed the PM on the state’s future development plans, priorities, and key welfare initiatives.

Marking the 25th anniversary of the state’s formation, the Amrit Rajat Mahotsav will be a landmark event in Chhattisgarh’s history. The CM noted that the Prime Minister’s esteemed presence would significantly enhance the event’s importance.

Chief Minister Sai expressed gratitude for the guidance of PM Modi, under whose leadership Chhattisgarh has witnessed rapid development. He informed the PM about the state’s strategic vision document “Anjor Vision @2047”, aligned with the national goal of a Developed India. This vision outlines a roadmap for inclusive and sustainable growth, with a focus on education, health, agriculture, industry, innovation, and the environment.

The CM also highlighted that the state government, inspired by the Central Government’s “Jan Vishwas Act 2023”, has passed the “Jan Vishwas Bill 2025”, aimed at increasing transparency and accessibility in the justice system for common citizens.

He further briefed the Prime Minister about the Chhattisgarh State Capital Region Development Authority (SCRDA), which is spearheading the planned and rapid development of Nava Raipur into a modern, smart, and fast-growing urban hub.

On the industrial front, CM Sai informed the PM of significant progress in attracting investment and creating employment. Since the launch of the new Industrial Policy 2024–30, investor interest in the state has surged. A single-window clearance system has been introduced to streamline industrial setup processes. Industries providing employment to over 1,000 people are being offered special incentives.

Between November 2024 and July 2025, the state received investment proposals worth ₹6.65 lakh crore from 84 companies. He also shared that India’s first semiconductor unit is being established in Nava Raipur, along with the construction of an AI Data Center. In sectors like textiles, pharmaceuticals, ready-made garments, and IT services, Chhattisgarh is rapidly emerging as a technological and industrial hub.

Discussing educational reforms, CM Sai said the government is committed to delivering quality education in rural and remote areas through rationalization of schools and teachers, along with the integration of digital tools and trained educators in tribal regions.

The CM also briefed the Prime Minister on two ambitious projects under development — Medicity and Edu City. The Medicity project in Raipur aims to establish a modern healthcare hub, enhancing Chhattisgarh’s reputation as a medical center and generating significant employment opportunities.

Addressing the situation in Naxal-affected regions, CM Sai spoke of the state’s rehabilitation and trust-building programs. He noted that as a result of sensitive and far-sighted policies, a large number of Naxalites have surrendered and returned to mainstream life. Basic infrastructure in these regions — such as education, health, communication, and roads — is being rapidly developed, increasing public trust in governance and encouraging active participation in the development process.
