Entrepreneurs Should Prioritize Eco-Friendly and Pollution-Free Industries – Minister Pankaja Munde

Nashik, Aug 2025 : Nashik is rapidly emerging as an industrial hub through various new projects and industries. In this context, entrepreneurs must prioritize eco-friendly and pollution-free industries, urged Pankaja Munde, State Minister for Environment, Climate Change, and Animal Husbandry.

Minister Munde held a meeting with representatives of the Nashik Industries and Manufacturers Association (NIMA) and the Ambad Industries and Manufacturers Association (AIMA). Present at the meeting were MLAs Seema Hire and Devyani Pharande; Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) Member Secretary Dr. Avinash Dhakne; Deputy Secretary (Technical) Dr. Rajendra Rajput; Regional Officer Limbaji Bhad; NIMA President Ashish Nahar; AIMA President Lalit Boob; Deputy Regional Officer Prashant Gaikwad; Jalgaon Deputy Regional Officer Karansingh Rajput; Dhule Deputy Regional Officer Pranav Pakhale; Ahilyanagar Deputy Regional Officer Chandrakant Shinde; Scientific Officer Suresh Mali; and officials from various departments along with several industrialists.

Minister Pankaja Munde emphasized that the government is committed to supporting new industries and entrepreneurs and addressing their issues. She also urged industries and companies to strictly adhere to the guidelines of the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board. “Industries must ensure that pollution does not endanger the health of local residents,” she stressed.

Highlighting the ongoing sustainable development works in Nashik through the Simhastha Kumbh Mela, she assured that efforts will be made to facilitate the necessary funding from the Industries Department for setting up new industries in the region.
