Gogamedi Fair Begins August 9 – Full Focus on Devotee Facilities and Security; Special Arrangements for CCTV, Toilets, and Shelter

Jaipur, Aug 2025 : The State Self-Reliant Shri Gogaji Temple Fair in Gogamedi will begin this year on August 9 at 9:30 AM with a ceremonial flag hoisting on the occasion of Bhadrapad Purnima. The historic fair will continue for one month, concluding on September 8 with the ritual immersion.

Recognized as one of North India’s largest religious fairs, the event is expected to draw 30 to 35 lakh (3 to 3.5 million) devotees. In anticipation, the district administration and the Devasthan Department have made comprehensive arrangements for devotee comfort and safety.

To accommodate visitors, free night shelters have been constructed with a total capacity of around 3,000 people. These shelters will be equipped with electricity, fans, coolers, drinking water, bedding, and clean toilets.

A laser light and sound show will be held every evening from 7 PM to 10 PM. Additionally, on August 30 and 31, the Tourism and Devasthan Departments will host grand cultural evenings, showcasing performances by artists from across the country.

For devotee safety, 250 high-quality CCTV cameras have been installed throughout the fairground, parking areas, and other key locations. Permanent barricading has been set up in the temple premises, along with temporary barricades that include facilities for toilets, drinking water, and ventilation. To protect visitors from sun and rain, tower tents are being erected. The zig-zag barricading system is designed to streamline the darshan (viewing) process efficiently.
