The ENERZAL Mumbai Ultra Marathon, a unique 100% charity event to raise fund for the Pediatric Cancer patients under treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai is being scheduled on 15th. August, 2025.

PRAKASH AGARWAL – Resilient Marathoner:

Dictionaries were found to have their roots in the early Sumerian Civilisation around 2300 BCE, although the Modern Dictionary inked by Samuel Johnson was conceptualised in 1755, and is globally recognised for setting a standard for English dictionaries.

For the broader interest of its readers, Maverick News would reiterate that “TWO WORDS – Resilient, and Run” encompasses todays presentation about the person who is a ‘Self Made Extraordinary’! he is Prakash Agarwal.

RESILIENT – An accidental fall from several floors of a high rise building; raising doubts of his survival; miraculous turn around; he is back to normal. Setting aside the traumas of the ill-fated never forgetting accident, when Prakash started galloping ahead, he confronted a bolt from the blue – being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma – a formidable journey, undergoing Chemotherapies, Radiations, not submitting to the challenges of emotional endurances.

RUN – While being Resilient encountering multi episodic traumas, Prakash delved into Running to counterfeit the ‘Evil Imperfectionist nonbos’. In these contexts, it is of omnipotent importance that the word “RUN” having 645 meanings, has found a special mention in the Oxford English Dictionary for its upcoming 2037 edition.

This three-letter word has innumerous connection with Prakash Agarwal’s life. The courage with which he runs Marathon, was found missing with the correspondent who dares to run even after been blessed with a spirited physique.

During the entire stretch of conversation, time and again, it was perceived that speaking about Prakash alone, would be a serious undermining to another English word “CAMARADERIE”; the chemistry between Prakash, and his beloved better half Puja Agarwal. During the discussions whenever Prakash spoke about Puja, it involved a willingness to prioritise her well-being and happiness, even amidst challenges and imperfections.

Running has been nothing short of a catharsis for me, a deeply personal and transformative journey. Although I had always led an active lifestyle, my serious commitment to running began in 2013, following a life-altering accident in which I fell several floors from a high-rise building. What started as a means to regain my physical strength and mobility soon evolved into a profound passion. Before long, I found myself participating in various running events, embracing the discipline and fulfilment the sport brought into my life”, Prakash said.

Prakash further added, “However, in 2015, my journey took an unexpected and difficult turn when I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The diagnosis marked the beginning of a physically and emotionally taxing period, involving multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. Though the illness tested the limits of my body, it never broke my spirit. With determination and an unwavering mindset, I returned to the running circuit within a year of recovery — this time with a deeper sense of purpose and resilience”.

Resonating much with the vibes which the correspondent had garnered, Prakash delivered, “Throughout this journey, I have been fortunate to have the unwavering support of my wife, Puja. Her strength and encouragement were instrumental during my most challenging moments. She was constant support and encouragement during my difficult days. She never allowed any negativity to creep in and remained pillar of strength. Inspired by the impact running had on my life, she too developed a passion for the sport. Today, she is an enthusiastic runner in her own right and has proudly completed the Pune-Mumbai marathon under the Pinkathon banner”.

As I was into running, I came into contact with Mr. Naveen Hedge, a philanthropist and a gem of a person. I learned about Tata Ultra Marathon and the noble cause it supports. It was instantly hooked and have been part of this journey. As running has given me far more than physical strength, it has been a source of healing, self-discovery, and enduring connection. Running Tata ultra has been close to my heart not least because the monumental cause it supports. I would suggest everyone should contribute to the best of their ability for this noble cause”.
