“Undertake Works that Enhance the Glory of Beed City” – Deputy CM Ajit PawarInspection of Various Development Works in the City

Beed, Aug 2025 : While carrying out various ongoing development works in Beed city, modern technology should be used to ensure high-quality execution. The works should be such that they remain memorable for Beed residents and add to the glory of the city, instructed Deputy Chief Minister and District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar.

This morning, Deputy CM Pawar inspected the ongoing and newly initiated development works at Champavati Sports Club, Kankaleshwar Temple, and the District Hospital in Beed city. MLA Vikram Kale, MLA Vijaysingh Pandit, former MLA Amarsingh Pandit, Deputy CM’s Secretary Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh, Tribal Development Department Secretary and District Guardian Secretary Vijay Waghmare, District Collector Vivek Johnson, Zilla Parishad CEO Jitin Rehman, Superintendent of Police Navneet Kowat, and Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department Atul Chavan were present, among others.

At Kankaleshwar Temple, Deputy CM Pawar reviewed the work details with officials. He stated that the temple is a major religious site for devotees from Beed city and the entire district. In the upcoming development works around the Kankaleshwar Temple premises, there should be a blend of tradition and modernity, ensuring that the quality is memorable and enduring. He stressed that the works should be of high quality, durable, completed on time, and designed to provide all facilities to devotees. Pawar also offered prayers at the temple.

While inspecting the District Sports Complex, Pawar interacted with local citizens. The complex has received revised administrative approval for an estimated cost of ₹2499.96 lakh, with a special provision included in the budget, and a government resolution has been issued accordingly. Once completed, Beed residents will have access to a well-equipped sports complex. He urged citizens to cooperate, keep the surrounding area clean, and ensure no garbage is seen anywhere nearby. He also directed the municipal administration to maintain strict cleanliness in the area.

Deputy CM Pawar also inspected the ongoing works at the District Hospital. He emphasised that while constructing the building, planners should consider the needs for the next 50 years. Facilities such as electricity, parking, fire safety systems, and advanced security mechanisms should be incorporated. The building should be completed in a way that leaves citizens satisfied, he added.

Officials from the concerned departments were present during the visit.
